Coach Howard will have his team ready to play, they seem to be a second half team, either Coach fires them up at halftime, or assistant coach's make correct adjustments, quarterback, is a good leader, defense plays hardnosed, LCC, wins this game.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Thank's old rambler, with #52 Yates out our center, he was the heart of the line, big shoes to fill, due to injury, Coach will do some shuffling this week, due 2 ejections, and 2 starters injured. I hope he gives some junior's and sophmore's a shot, why not, he's got nothing to lose.

Woodford County can probaly dictate the score, when they put in their reserves, depending on what quarter, Ashland is not the same team, as past year's teams have been, still quarterback shuffeling, and they have been dinged up all year, Woodford County by 40 or more.

I think the jv. game will be a good one, Greenup County is 2 wins and 1 loss, not sure about Raceland, and the freshmen are 2 wins and no loss's, their defense has not been scored on, while out scoring the opposition 72 - 6, both teams play hard, and get to the football, should be 2 good evening's of football, hope to see you at the game.

Do not take Rowan County to lightly, they have some good skill players, and a big offensive line, though their defense can give up the big play, they will not quit and will battle you to the end.

That is exactly the way I look at this game, only in the Musketeers favor, it will be a big night, Greenup County will be honoring the 1977 state championship team, this is the 30th anniversary, of that team.

Greenup County coming off a very tough loss to Raceland, and Boyd County also a tough loss against Ashland, and this coming game is a key district game, could possibly be for a home game, come playoffs. Seem's like both teams are struggling.

#53 Yates our center lost for the season, L3 vertabrae broke, by a hit in the back, #25 Hannah torn ACL or possible meniscus tear, hate to see the ejections, official's, needed to get control of the game, but Rams were the better team on this night, Reed's 50 yd. field goal, was a beauty, as they say, theres always next year, Ipersonally, am emberassed, at the way our players handled themselves, and I for one apoligize to the Ram fans, that is not how we should conduct ourselves on a football field.

Nice post on Kenny Lacks, I played alot of softball against his teams, also got to play football with him, when the Raceland Alumni raised money for the program, back in 1972, he has probaly coached and played in more games, than anyone in this area, he is truely an ironman, and a great asset to the Ram community and should be recognized, at some time for his dedication and hard work through the years in the JFL and Little leauge, he has touched so many kid's lives and made an impact on their athletic careers nice job Kenny, your friend, Old Warrior.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Well, it is 4:00 a.m. Friday morning, game day, I do know that every kid at Greenup County that is dinged up, is going to be, able to play, these 2 teams played last year, Raceland had the better team, but the game was decided by a punt return, we hear that your team is getting back to full strength,,and I'm glad for you, but, do not take this Greenup County team lightly, I know you all remember, when we won 7yrs. in a row, and you all have won the last 2 yrs. See you at the game tonight, hope none of the players get reinjured or injured on both teams, this game means alot to both teams, that is what a rivalary game is all about, may the better team win.

Yes, that is correct, in 2 wks. they play Coach Stakleys young Tomcats, that is going to be one of the better freshmen games of the season. As I have heard from the coach Ashland has a very good team also. The thing that makes this Greenup team special, is they feed off of one another, their play is contagious, as they want to make plays, and their defense rock's, everyone wants to get to the ball, plus the size of their line looks like a varsity line, but next week it is Raceland.

Yes, we have 107.5 The Breeze at all Greenup games. Old Rambler, you think the weather today will impact the game tommorrow night?

He is always hurt or banged up, probaly because he is hitting players hard and running over them as you posted, will he get to play in the Greenup County game or is he still sidelined with shoulder injury?

I think the change will help the team overall, #2 now will have a better chanch to get to the quarterback, and he can free lance more now at the monster, still the hardest hitter on the team, this move will give him more freedom to make plays, I hope we run the ball more, it helps set up our passing game, plus the defense is going to win this game, and our line has to control the line of scrimmage and continue to play physical, with pressure on their quarterback, also keep their running game in check. Should be a very good game, both teams have injuries, but you have to line up 11 and play, look for a big crowd, that is ready for some football, weather will make it feel like football season, finally.

Yes he is cleared to play, WR and strong safety, he had 2 interceptions at Rowan County, and is averaging 48 yds. per punt, he has yet to take a snap at qb.

They have beat Russell, East Carter cancelled, they play Boyd County thursday at 6:00 at Boyd County, they are a big physical team, good overall team speed, good quarterback, they like to play defense.:mad:

Coach Hilliard at Letcher County, he has made a big impact on that tesm.

Those of us here from greenup county know they have a very good football team, wish our field goal kicker, could of been able to play, Coach Hilliard has his boy's playing well, seem's like we woke up a sleeping giant.

Greenup has 2 good quarterbacks. a sophmore, Cam Crum, 6'1 155 lb. and a freshman Mason Rister 5'11 150 lb. also we have Mahan also.

Final. Just the sophs. and freshmen played, very hard hitting game. C. Lyles ran the ball hard. Cam Crum threw a td. pass, caught some balls, had a 50 yd. punt. Defense stepped up after the 1st. qtr. Freshman quarterback played well also. Good game guy's keep up the hard work.
