Does anyone think Coach Mike Sammons will get his first ever signature win at Greenup County? Signature win means like a Ashland, Russell, Boyd County, Lawrence County, Raceland, Mason County, his 3 yr. record to date is, 2005 [1-9], 2006 [3-7], 2007[1-5], so far 1 district win in 2 and 1 half season's. What are your thought's.

I would like to Greenup get some wins, but with the injuries and suspensions, I just don't believe Greenup can beat Ashland tonight. I may be wrong, but it will definitely be an up hill battle. Good luck to Greenup and Ashland tonight.

Let's go back and rename this thread correctly "FIRE COACH SAMMONS". In fact, we could take a hint from UK fans and start a website (i.e. firetubby.com and firerichbrooks.com).

While the above comment is somewhat tounge and cheek, this is the exact reason coaches shy away from applying at Greenup County.

End the thread before any further negative comments can be posted.

I agree Ram. I would love to see GC get things turned around but I just think that Ashland will win tonight. That is not a slam on Coach Sammons at all, just my opinion on this game.

As an outsider I would suggest to the GCHS faithful that all of the talk about a coach is exactly what the kids/players are hearing as well. I have always said that negativity breeds negativity. Players and h.s. kids read these message boards and post whether you think they do or not. Negative talk leads to talk amoungst the kids/team and so on and so on. Support your coaches and team. Should a person want to question/complain about a coach and or any other individual in the system then imo there are proper channels and people to take those complaints to.

Try to remember that it is supposed to be all about the kids and not the fans/parents fighting. These are JMO and I a not slamming anyone. Just some thoughts.

Good Luck To GCHS. :thumb:

I do agree with the ...firetubby.com, but there is no comparison between Coach Sammons and Coach Brooks. GC is 1-5 and UK is 5-1.

GO MUSKETEERS!!!!

Apparently the sarcasm of my post was lost in translation or no one cared to read the second line. I was not suggesting anything about the future of the coaching staff, I was simply pointing out that the original post was a fine place for the others to begin calling for a regime change. Not only does this thread continue to add more negativity to the team, it backs up the number of comments on BGP that GC is no place to coach.

MAN-ning go back and check Brooks record prior to the '06 season.

Old Warrior, if negativity breeds negativity then why start the thread and mention the record. Instead post positive, as you do with the freshman team and who know maybe something positive will happen.

It doesn't matter about 06' this is 07' and apparently things have changed. Brooks has a better record this year than all of Sammons put together.

The coaches are, yes I said coahes, as negative as they come. I know from personal expeiences. For the most part they have bad attitudes, and everyone talks about the bad attitudes of some of the players and former player, well it started at the top. GC will be lucky to win another game this year because of this. I hope I'm wrong for the boys' sake's, we love our boys and the sooner this season's over the quicker they can put it all behind them, for the seniors they just need to play their best and focus on their future.

As far as nobody wanting to coach at GC, It's not because of the negative comments from fans/parents and threads like this one, it's simply because the way things are ran at GC.
