West Carter win's in a close game.

A couple year's ago I sat on the Dayton side at a Raceland game, they really do have a great fan base. They, seem to have a very solid team this year. I see this as a game they can rest some player's, and still win big, and let the young guy's, get some playing time, Dayton by 40+.

It depends upon which East Carter team shows up, they have been up and down like a roller caoster, or which way Coach Baldwin run's his offense, they should win, but don't overlook the Lion's, they put 39 pts. on the board last week. I'll take Raider's in a close one.

Franklin County's line will win this game for them, they are big and physical, this week is their time to shine. Harrison County without there running back, will hurt them, plus home field advantage is big.:ylsuper:

Nice game, we only played 5 junior's, due to injuries, mostly sophmores and our freshmen, if that was the Tomcat's freshmen in on the last series, they will be in for the kind of night we suffered, also no class scoring that last td., with 28 seconds left, should of taken a knee, but that's Ashland for you.

Blowout, after Fairview lost a game they should of won, and LCA coming off a loss, this could get ugly quick.:eek:

So is Greenup County, as the Man-ing has posted, we have been in most games at halftime, but seem to let it slip away in the 3rd and 4th qtr., if we play 4 qtrs., we will be in a Dawg-fight, this obviously is a big game for both teams, I think turnovers and the kicking game will determine the winner, GC has a outstanding field goal kicker, and usually put's the ball in end zone 60% of the time. I don't see any reason for both teams, holding anything back, this is probaly the biggest game of the year for the Muskies, I hope Coach Sammons can get our boy's focused to play a complete game, and get us a home playoff game.:ylsuper:

That is one thing going for the Tomcat's, but if they lose, can they still get in the playoffs, with a win at Johnson Central? They have their work cut out for them, for sure, especially having to go to the Eagle's nest, in 2 wks.

I sure hope Rowan County does.

I think the weather has had an impact on our team at Greenup County. With hardly any rain at all this year, area fields are very hard and dusty, and I attribute this to alot of our injuries, we have had some torn ligaments, and broken bones and sprained ankles, does anyone else see this as a problem this year? I know we are still watering our field with sprinkler system, but still the field is very hard.

Theres a first time for everthing, plus a road game, coming off a devesating loss, in a game Russell should have won, may be looking to far ahead , they will be facing two passing teams, the next two weeks, their achilles heel.

Lawrence County at Greenup County 7:30 p.m.

Do not overlook Rowan County, they beat Lawrence County at their place.

#26 T.Waugh sophmore, fractured ankle, but I will go out on a limb this week and say Greenup County will win this game, we will get some player's back, maybe 75%, of those that have missed the last 2 wks. Plus it being Spirit week and Homecoming, that may put us in the right frame of mind. Greenup County 24-16 over Lawrence County.

Coach Sammons 5 yrs. ago went to Portsmouth West and made a good run in the playoffs, senior dominated team, and finished as the runnerup, but he had the previous coachs players, next season by the 5 th game, was coaching from the pressbox and those people could not wait till he got let go. When Coach is not on sideline, like at jv. and freshmen games, our assistant's have success, running same offense and defense, I'm saying he's not there to screw it up, he get's imput from his assistants, but, he's not a good listener. Last night, scored on 1st drive, running the ball, 2nd drive went completely away from that, figure that out. Also, I know he will be gone after this season, administration did not want to release him in mid season, due to the way Coach Hicks was fired during season, and the assistants, finished out the year, I could of have lived with that scenario.

Greenup will get some player's back from suspensions, seniorS, #2 AND #71 both seniors, #15, kicker was also suspended, for the Ashland game. Hopefully, some of the injured, will heal enough, to be able to play, #26 hurt ankle and #41 broke his nose last night, the injury bug has landed upon us, and will not go away, this will probaly be the biggest game we have hosted in years. It could be for 1st place in the district,possibly if we win, 3rd place if we lose, depending on how the 2 other two district teams end up next Friday.Injured and unable to play 14 players, 6 seniors, on that list.

#15 field goal kicker suspended, got a red card in soccer game, 2 hurt at game, #26 and #41, with 12 others hurt and out of action, sophmores and some freshmen seen playing time tonight.

As I previously posted, Russell is getting into the meat of their schedule, now comes Mason County and then Raceland, both passing teams.
