I can understand maybe wanting to go to a better climate, but none of these programs are better than NKU. Maybe I'm old and conservative but I would want a place to play before I decommitted.

Exactly, someone needs to help this kid get educated. Doesn't sould like he's ever going to be able to qualify to play sports however. Maybe that's why CovCath turned him down. Just kidding.:lol2:

I missed the first quarter, did the Camels really play Man to man defense against Cov.Cath? I couldn't believe it when I started watching. Someone's not during their homework. Unbelievable.

I personally don't think Cov.Cath is playing their best basketball. Newport had them beat and they were losing to both St. Henry and Holmes at half. With that said however, if it's a close game, I'll have to give the edge to experienced Colonels.

Definitely goaltending, the block came after it hit the backboard. Holmes was playing well when they pushed it up the floor, not sure why Listerman slowed them down.

Why are they not just moving tonight's games to tomorrow night?

Nice, it's not often we even have DI players coming out of Northern KY. Be great if we could keep more of them at home.

It really would be just the opposite. In the current system, a team could lose in the finals of their district tournament and still win the regional tournament. All the teams get into the post season anyway, but without a district tournament only the regional winner would not have lost. I think attendance would go up because it's always win or go home.

Giving up 80 is playing great defense?

Maybe I'm getting old but wouldn't it be nice to see different teams play in the post season other than the same District foes. You could still seed the tournament based on regular season District winners but the ability to play teams you may not have played during the regular season would give it some more excitement. The draw would be anticipated like the NCAA. I think it would be great for high school basketball. What do you think?

I drove down to Maysville to see a regional tournament game at the Fieldhouse a few years ago and can't say I enjoyed it. Sure the atmosphere was great but The parking was terrible and the seating was unconfortable and it must have been 80 degrees in the building. We also had to get there At least an hour before the game to get in. I'll take the BOKC any day.

NKU women also play at home on Thursday. Not much chance NKU men would play at home on Thursday, an 8 seed would have to beat 1 seed (assuming NKU is the 4th seed). I like your schedule, I certainly don't mind watching 4 boys games on a Saturday.

Maybe the last game doesn't start until 9:00, the game would still be over by 10:30 and the kids are in bed by 11:00. Probably not any later than any other school night. We are talking about high school kids not grade school afterall.

It's not ideal, but it sure beats playing at Regents Hall.

How about this for a solution. Play 3 first round girls games on Monday night, 5:30, 7:00 and 8:30, then the other first round girls game on Tuesday night at 6:00 right before the NKU men's game. Move the men's game back to 8:00. Shouldn't be a big deal.

It's not the understanding of the contract, it's why the contract didn't have an NKU provision in it for their conference tournament. Someone really dropped the ball on this one. It's a slap in the face to the NKU men's basketball program.

Your not correct on that either. NKU Women play at home (BOKC) on Thursday, their first round tournament game.

A first round girls game will not have a big crowd at all and would not out draw a men's game. It is NKU's home court. Just because you have no interest in NKU sports, doesn't mean the entire area doesn't.

Just found out that they moved the NKU men's first round tournament game to Regents Hall on Tuesday March 2nd. Unbelievable. More disconnect between SMG and NKU. Very, very disappointing.
