  1. Lone Oak wins this one. Also, I think they run the table in the regular season. I'd like to see Lone Oak coming out of the west undefeated.
  2. They probably could if they wanted too. But Boyle County doesn't want to knock another team off the schedule for next year, do they? :sssh: Plus, we don't need another discussion on running up the score. :puke:
  3. As we do. Sad to hear a kid get hurt playing a game that he loves. I hope he a has speedy but successful recovery. Hang in there.
  4. That reminds me when we had 1 person vote for Pikeville during Boyle County/Pikeville prediction thread. I think votes should be based on who you really think will win and not favoritism. Maybe I could be swayed into believing Mercer County will win? I'd like to hear why the two voters voted for Mercer County to win. So?
  5. I sure hope Bell County gets to come to Boyle County and play. Also, I hope our fans show you the same respect you guys showed us when we came up to Log Mountain last year. I had an absolute blast up on Log Mountain, even with the loss. But, there are many of games to be played before we can even get ahead of ourselves. Enjoy the win Bobcats! :thumb:
  6. BTW, congrats to Bell County! I've got nothing but respect for the Bobcat nation! Keep rolling boys! :thumb:
  7. Counting out St. X, Highlands, Trinity and even Boyle County this year? You got Boyle County last year but are you sure you want to make that statement this early in the season? Well, I guess we should see how the season plays out.
  8. I agree 100% with you on that. But we'll have to save that for another conversation sometime down the road. Congrats to Lone Oak, huge win whether Lexington Catholic is down or not. :thumb:
  9. Boyle County coming off a bye week for this game. The Rebels have had alot of time to prepare for this and I know they were hating that bye week so I'll say Boyle County wins BIG because they are ready to knock some heads. Go Rebs! :ylsuper:
  10. Has Rees Macshara even touched the ball more than 13 times in a game? This kid is a terror for other teams. He's a threat to the endzone every time he touches the ball. His yard per carry has to be around 15 a carry or more. PurplePride, what exactly is his yard per carry? Go Rebs! :thumb:
  11. Did Bell County run up the score with their JV?
  12. We are a little over a day away from kickoff. Forecast looks good for tomorrow. Can't wait to make the drive to Corbin. :thumb: Any predictions on how Rees Macshara will do against Pikeville?
  13. Great stuff to hear 64! Thanks for posting the score. I sure hope these kids stick together and impact all of 4A. Go Rebs!
  14. Yeah no kidding! I'm looking forward to seeing both games. Go Rebs! Go Ads! :thumb:
  15. Article from the The Advocate-Messenger of Danville. “They can go running back by committee and not lose a thing. Their offense is a little different from what we have because of their size and power. They are supposed to be a Class AA title contender and they look like it to me.” http://amnews.com/stories/2009/09/03/spo.989518.sto
  16. "I think last year our kids were looking forward to every game and felt like they had something to prove. They were underdogs and wanted to show people how they could play. We have to get back to that.” - Larry French He really knows his stuff. Boyle County really came out flat against Rockcastle County. As he said, if Boyle County comes out flat against some of the teams on the schedule then the Rebels will be hurting.
  17. Very good point my good man. :thumb: Being #1 just means that you were playing well. You got to keep playing well through out the whole season in order to reach your goal. We're only 2 weeks in but so far Mason County has earned their #1 ranking in 3A. So for that, I applaud!
  18. It's quiet obvious that the Rebels need to work on a handful of things. The passing game is just non-existent(especially this past game). Hopefully it will get to where it needs to be as I think it will. We talk and talk about how the pass defense needs to step it up and it's so very true. Rockcastle County had a good quarterback that threw a high percentage against Boyle County and IMO I don't think he is the best quarterback we will face this year. In no way is Boyle County flawless, as no team is, and there will be some things to work on but the Rebels are a good team. As long as they stay focused I believe the Rebels will have a successful season. Just take it one game at a time and I believe they will reach their ultimate goal. Go Rebels! :thumb:
  19. You are exactly right. Took the words right out of my mouth. I was meaning to post that earlier. However, alot of people don't know of face guarding for some reason. As a corner you must find the ball and go for it. Usually there can be SOME contact as long as you(the corner) was going for the ball.
  20. Boyle County wins! However, does Pikeville allow Macshara the yardage he was able to get against Rockcastle County? :sssh: I see Boyle County being able to record a shutout and big win. Being able to and guarantee's are two different things. Go Rebels! :thumb:
