Big O's triple double average for season is up there with Wilt's 50 ppg. And Oscar came close (.5 assist per game) short of doing a 2nd season (.5 rpg) short of doing a 3rd season.

 

In comparison, i think i saw that there has been a total of 11 trilpledoubles this season and Rondo has 5.

 

It's not that easy to say he scored more points so it's better. Much different eras of basketball. I say it's very very close.

It does count if it went in while being fouled.

 

I'm saying that it's possible that none of the 32 FTs attempted were an "and 1" situation so it's possible he had up to 16 more FG attempts. Key words are "up to."

While that night he may have been guarded by 6'7" guy, there some good centers during those years.

 

Guy named Bill Russell was pretty good. Nate Thurmond, Wayne Embry, Willis Reed all very good players.

 

Quality of big men today, not sure they exceed quality then.

 

Btw, 6' 7" Wes Unseld would whip up on most centers today.
