Following this game and Getslow on twitter was awesome. I almost felt like I was there. Thank you twitter!!!!

What a game. Ballard was ahead the whole game and then Trinity took over the 4th quarter.

I couldn't get to Bellarmine until 4:30, so I didn't get in. Hated to miss it.

This was a classic. Ballard threw everything at Trinity but the kitchen sink. I really believe the turning point was when the Ballard students started chanting stick to football. It ticked the Rocks off.

Game on Monday night is at 7PM, not 8PM.

I thought it was Ballard's night with the way they were raininig 3 balls down. Rocks kept killing themselves early with missed layups and free throws. Amped up the D in the 4th and it was a huge swing.

Snider is the real deal. Number 3 for Ballard is only a Sophmore I believe. He will be tough in the future.

HUGE win for T!

To come from 9 down in the 4th Q against a solid Ballard team is big.

X game will be closer than one would think based on rivalry but tonight's win shows that T has the mental toughness that could carry them far in the tourney.

Looks like a state champion team!

Trinity's starters got some nice minutes on the bench during the third. They were well rested heading into the final quarter. Szabo had a game plan and followed through, keeping Diudonne on the bench despite Trinity being down; after getting a breather, he came up big on offense and defense down the stretch.

The atmosphere was incredible with the students from St. X sticking around after their game to add to the cheers and chants coming from the Ballard students. Who says the publics and privates can't get along? Was actually worried at the outset that some of the chanting might get out of hand, but it was pretty civil following tip-off.

Those two guards for Ballard can flat-out play. It's nice when a game absolutely lives up to its billing and this one was everything expected and more. Fantastic stuff.

Refs were calling some real ticky tak fould early on in the game but they let them play for sure in the 4th. Couldn't believe some of the play they let slide on some of the rebound opportunities. It was getting pretty physical down there.

On the subject of the chants...I was surprised Dr. Mullen allowed the bull-poopy chant to go on more than once. He did quicky put his foot down when the subject of seafood was brough about in reference to the Ballard cheerleaders.

Yikes. I missed that one.

It was getting pretty specific for a while there. I was glad when things calmed down as the game progressed.

Guess they didn't realize how much money the school really had.:thumb:

Not sure what that means?

To the game.

Sounds like a big-time game in a great atmosphere. I'm guessing most Sweet 16 teams would want no part of either of these two. Kind of a shame one has to lose, but this system is better than many state's.
