It is really funny since my guess is that there is at least as much money at Ballard as there is at Trinity. Oh well, it gives their football team time to start getting ready for the Trinity game next season. Oh wait, they won't play us in that sport either.

Why not?

I sat behind Trinity bench and was impressed by the "look test". When Szabo came to Trinity I vividly remember him saying "With these 1,200 boys we should be better.." Well Trinity is now very good but some things are very different and it won't help us win a private/public debate.

I thought the, "Mortgage chant" when the Shelbyville kid was shooting free throws was amusing coming from Ballard fan base.

I don't want to get into a public/private debate at all, I don't care. I'm quoting you only because you led me into a question I've kind of wanted to ask anyway.

I too thought Trinity underachieved in basketball for many year's prior to Szabo's arrival. I think he's one of the state's top coaches, and have thought that from the get go. Also, have noticed it's been hard for Trinity to get out of the region, despite their rise to the top since Szabo's arrival.

Do most around the area still consider him one of the area's/state's top coaches? Who do those more in the know than I consider the top coaches in the Ville area? And again, let me emphasize, this isn't meant to start any coach bashing at all, as Szabo would top my list.

Why not?

Good question. Don't want the loss is my guess.

Bingo

Trinity's basketball players definitely have a different look from when Szabo arrived at Trinity.

You are exactly right best recruiter in the state!

I am not going to get into ridiculous backhanded comments that you and your Xaverian brothers like to drop. But, I am very proud at how diverse Trinity is becoming, very small college like in feel, and atmosphere. I believe it lends to more success in actual college, and later on, in life. Instead of throwing jabs, maybe your clan should look inward, and realize that change is a good thing.

Recruiter? That's rich. That is a strong accusation. One that is illegal on said site, unless you have proof. I would like to hear such proof please. Don't worry, I'll wait...

You don't like the "different look" (I agree) comment yet you reply with "clan."

Freudian or intentional?

Oops..... nice play.

This is one of the best games I have ever seen. Ballard was amazing and seemed not to be able to miss much the first three quarters. I felt part of the problem in quarters 2 and 3 for T was missing some easy shots. There was a little bit of selfish play and to much smack talking by an individual. The game seem to change when Saxton and Hicks (I believe had a couple steals.) Perito had some key points and last but not least Dieudonne was the closer. I really enjoy watching him play. I was glad to see T win.

On the topic of the Ballard student section (and 10/15 X students that stayed for the game) I get why they chanted what they did but at the end of the day it is classless. I did see/hear some of the same thing during the X/Central game from T students and a few basketball players. Again....neither is ok with me but you will have this type stuff when dealing with such big rivalries.
