Clyde Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 No. Why in the world would he??? Maybe missing the WKY barbecue?
gametime Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 Maybe missing the WKY barbecue? Yeah. That's it...
00Rocket28 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 No. Why in the world would he??? It was a sincere question. While it's less $, I'd say it was a much easier/less stressful atmosphere. And winning consistently. Murray is a lot nicer place to live than Cincy, even if ESPN played banjos like it's Deliverence...
swamprat Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Look behind the numbers. UC looks to be the best Big East win for USF.It is.
hrcarrier Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 USF is 14-1 at home and was a 2 point favorite... Still kind of surprised, I figured UC would win.
swamprat Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Doesn't change anything. Need one more regular season win to be solidly in...Nor does it change anything for USF. They're still on the outside looking in. As Stan Heath says, they won't get in knocking at the door, they'll have to kick it in. They have to win out, IMO, and win at least 1, if not 2 in the BET.
swamprat Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Still kind of surprised, I figured UC would win.UC has lost 4 in a row in Tampa. I think it was the ice under the floor, this time. I wasn't at this game, but it's flipping cold in the Forum.
swamprat Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Ugly game. USF is not very good. They do have some size and length and had hands up on shooters. That's what make it so miraculous. They are a very good defensive team, though.
swamprat Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Crazy stat. For the 6th game in a row USF has held their opponent to 20 or more points under their season scoring average...Considering 1 of those was the #2 team in the nation at their place. What's not to love?
gametime Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 It was a sincere question. While it's less $, I'd say it was a much easier/less stressful atmosphere. And winning consistently. Murray is a lot nicer place to live than Cincy, even if ESPN played banjos like it's Deliverence... Mick is home, with his dad and daughter every day. He coaching where he went to school and got his start in the business. UC is his dream job. He enjoyed his time at Murray State, but no way he wishes he was still there...
tcjkbt Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 UC was so keyed up for UL, a let down is not surprising (if it was indeed a let down).
Randy Parker Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Those two FT's by the guy shooting 49% from the charity stripe were huge.
LCDAWGS19 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Those two FT's by the guy shooting 49% from the charity stripe were huge. I can't believe they foul him with 2 on the shot clock... I made some sort of noise at the TV...part grunt, part moan.
swamprat Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Those two FT's by the guy shooting 49% from the charity stripe were huge. The reaction of his teammates on the bench was classic. You can tell these guys are having fun with what's going on around them.
letabrotherspeak Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 11-5 in the Big East seems contradictory to this... The Big East schedule was very favorable to them. They beat Villanova 2x, Providence 2x, Pitt 2x, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John's and DePaul prior to winning today. Losses to UConn by 3, Notre Dame by 11, Marquette by 20, Georgetown by 30 and the Cuse by 8. Non conference they were pounded by Kansas and VCU by 20+ and have a double digit loss to Auburn. Average team that has benefited from a weak Big East schedule.
