2012 NKY Freshman Invitational Tournament played at CovCath

This is exactly why Ohio has the 6 quarters rule.

It was the five quarter rule when I left Ohio after the 2005-06 season unless it has changed.

THey are loaded with talent? Other than Bo Shuh, who would you classify as loaded with talent? Just curious. And, I heard (only hearsay) that Schuh was offered to come up to JV after this tournament.

I'm guessing Cov Cath. Their team is loaded with talent, and I have not heard of any of their frosh being pulled up to the next level yet.

Absolutely! Had the opportunity to see this happen! Fantastic moment and his teammates lived it up with him.

Simon Kenton 60 vs Conner 42

On a special note, Conners #52 Kyle Koors scored 3 points on a FG and a FT

He has already dressed for JV and varsity games.

:idunno: I got nothin. No stats to classify. Just my perception from watching individual players from 4 different feeder schools over the past 3 years and knowing that the CCH frosh team has done very well this season. Probably not BGP sufficient but it's all I got.

IMO it's for the frosh team. If a frosh has played JV all year (ie Stanley at Boone) then he should not play in the frosh tourney. That's not for the tourney to decide. That's for each school.

This is a tournament for the frosh TEAMS. If there is a frosh who has been playing up all year, chances are he'll get his chance to shine in the regional tournament at some point in the future. I understand the sentiment that people want to know who has the best freshman class, but that will shake itself out over the next 3 years. Let the kids who have worked hard together as a team get one last opportunity to play together. For many, this will be their last game.

For what it's worth, I am also an alum of this tourney. I think we lost to Highlands in the championship game.

I was at that game.

Cooper plays Ryle in game 1 of the night with the winner advancing to play Dixie on Saturday night. The nightcap pits Covington Catholic against Simon Kenton with the winner advancing to play Highlands on Saturday night.
