I believe that Kevin Reinhardt has the Camels scoring record somewhere in the 1800 range.

They have recruited this area in the past and he does remind me a bit of a commadore although the sec may be a stretch for him...he is very good and is well deserving of a D1 scholly though and I thought the same thing about hickey and he is holding his own in the sec

1st time I've seen him this year. He is sneaky good. There is no flash just solid basketball. I know this may sound strange but that was a quiet 28. I knew he was scoring but didn't think he had that many.

I agree, In a earlier thread, someone said they didn't know if he was really that good. I remarked then, some of what he does will go unnoticed, if you're not really paying attention.

The kid is a stud - no question! In addition to being a gifted athlete, he's a great student and an all around good young man.

 

Morehead State had scouts at the Gateway Classic in Montgomery Co when he had 33. The individual who watched him play was very impressed with him, being it was the first time they've seen him play. I would think his recruiting stock will skyrocket over the next 6-7 months.

I have seen him play twice this year and he certaintly is impressive. Did he play as a freshman? He must have to to have reached 1,000 points already.

Campbell County Junior Nate McGovney scored his 1000th career point tonight. McGovney scored his 1000th on his second basket of the game and the game was stopped to honor his accomplishment. He was a little surprised that he had 1000 points because it was kept a secret and he thought he needed about 30 more. This is a great accomplishment for any player but especially for a Junior. He finished the game with 28pts and 10 rebounds along with a few assist and steals. I want to say how proud I am of Nate. Not only is he a great player but also a great young man. I have never met a young man who handles himself so well on and off the court. He always has a great attitude and always gives his best on the court and in the classroom. I have known Nate for several years and I have watched him become one of the best high school basketball players I have ever seen. Nate, congratulations on a great career so far and we wish you the best of luck the rest of the season and next. I am glad I get to go and watch you play every home and cannot wait to see you play in college.

Nate was the Camels 6th man as a freshman and had about 200 points.

Congratulations to Nate! Have seen him play for years and am not a bit surprised about this accomplishment as he has always been a nice player. Has a unique ability to handle the ball like a guard, but also bang with the big boys.

 

And, by the way, he is a better kid than he is basketball player and that's saying something about his character.
