January 16, 201214 yr The Packers looked like a rusted machine. The GMen are playing real well and I could see a rematch of the '08 Super Bowl.
January 16, 201214 yr As much as the Giants deserved the win, the Packers beat themselves, the dropped passes, turnovers, and all the miscues you would have thought this team had no playoff experience.. Props to the Giants for executing though. That's absolutely ridiculous and incorrect. Without two ATROCIOUS calls, Green Bay might not have scored a touchdown. Both of their touchdowns came after the refs handed them the ball back. 1.) The Greg Jennings Fumble Should have been Giants ball. Instead, Green Bay kept it and scored a TD. Their second TD came after they called a horrible roughing the passer (blow to the head) penalty on Osi.
January 16, 201214 yr ^Actually, now that I see a still picture of it (and one of the earlier frame), I can see where they might have thought his calf was on the ground. Not as bad as I first thought. Edited January 16, 201214 yr by Habib
January 16, 201214 yr There have been chinks in the Packers' armor for the last 6-7 weeks, including major injuries to the O line. I don't know whether the tragic death of the assistant's son factored into the dismal performance today but it probably did, considering how tight the Packers reputedly are. I think the Pack also lost some of their hunger and maybe had some non-football distractions of their own making such as Rogers' commercial and now Mathews' commercial. They need to shore up the D big time---in just about every area. They need to become a little more physical to go with the finesse. They are a good organization and I am confident they will make the right moves.

January 16, 201214 yr The Jennings fumble was obvious even if they had to prove he fumbled. I just don't understand how we at home can call these correctly and the stripes get it wrong. The personal foul at the end was horrible as well. No way Osi could have held back, it was a split second throw, hit.
January 16, 201214 yr I'd love to see the stats on qbs that don't play week 17 and how they do in the playoffs. Seems like they always lose when teams rest players. Nah, that's usually just reserved for Peyton Manning ... Man, have I missed having Peyton to kick around this season.
January 16, 201214 yr I expected this game to be closer than it was. I don't know if I'm more surprised that the Giants won or with how Green Bay's offense played most of the game.
January 16, 201214 yr Please God let this be the end of the discount double check commercials for a while. I can agree with that, they have been annoying for a while now for me too.
January 16, 201214 yr I picked all four games right this weekend on Twitter. Just had a feeling the Giants front 4 along with the way NY's offense was playing that they would win. GB just didn't seem the same to me after Jennings got hurt a month or so ago. Defense wasn't as good as last year probably do too a couple of key guys out. Came up with more turnovers last year. NY/San Fran is a great matchup!

January 16, 201214 yr Author :thumb: Congrats to you, it must be excited seeing your team in this position again. I know I mentioned it before about if the Giants just find a way to make it in, they were a team that could do damage. If your Giants win this week, then we will be seeing some sort of Super Bowl rematch. Either Giants/Ravens, or Giants/Packers.

If your Giants win this week, then we will be seeing some sort of Super Bowl rematch. Either Giants/Ravens, or Giants/Packers. I know you mean Giants/Patriots . And it is exciting. I just hope the run doesn't end this week in San Francisco. Going to be tough traveling across the country to play that team.

January 16, 201214 yr Congrats to the Giants. GB had too many mistakes against a good team to win. The fumble was the wrong call but the late hit was par for the course this year.
