Newt is a terrible person. No one can deny that. The thing that is funny with him is he constantly says he's changed and we can't look at his past actions as an indication of who he is now. At the same time he keeps telling voters that you can't just ignore Romney's past position on issues and that what Romney has done in the past is relevant. :lol:

Not sure those voters are supporting him. Is there some analysis out there that shows the type of voter and who they're leaning towards right now?

January 18, 201214 yr In the latest Ohio Polls, primary not held until March 6th, Romney has an 11 point lead over the closest competitor, Rick Santorum. He is also in a hypothetical general election statistical tie in Ohio with President Obama. This notion that Romney has no chance against President Obama is insane. Romney is the only one of the current GOPers who stands a chance.
January 18, 201214 yr A new poll has Romney barely edging Gingrich nationally after the South Carolina debate many considered a big victory for Gingrich and one of Romney's worst performances. If Gingrich could steal South Carolina out from under Romney it might become a race again. On another note, this poll affirms my belief that Romney is a terribly weak candidate. He has an unfavorable rating of 53% (54% with independents) and only manages a positive rating by 34% of voters. He's probably the most electable out of what's left of this field, but he's benefited tremendously from its weakness and he's had to move substantially to the right to keep pace with it (which also means he's not the electable moderate the media makes him out to be). I think his only chance is if the economy tanks again, and if that happens just about anyone could beat Obama.

There's several states that Obama carried the last time that won't be there for him this time. The electoral vote will be close.

January 19, 201214 yr Author ^Even if true, as they said there are too many holes in the counting to know for certain, it has no impact other than bragging rights. Iowa is a state that splits delegates so they'll still receive the same number.

Amazing.
January 19, 201214 yr Author Rick Perry will be putting his support behind Newt Gingrich according to CNN. So now all Newt needs is Bachmann and he's got the trifecta of crazy (Bachmann, Perry, & Palin). Yeah that's the guy we should put up against Obama. :lol:
