February 8, 201214 yr I thought the dunk was one of the most overrated things I have ever witnessed. Just like the Dwight Howard Superman dunk. I did not consider either dunks, just throws at the basket. Great athletic plays, sure. Perkins response is a reflection to how I believe most of the NBA views LeBron. Most see him as superstar talent with the maturity of an 8 year old. Perkins has no qualms about saying it publicly. It was a dunk. It wasn't a slam dunk. Two different things according to the dictionary.
February 8, 201214 yr I think your observations are legitimate, but I'm in agreement with CatsCatsCats. I think Wall is a lot l like Rondo, in that he is more suited to distributing & rebounding from the PG position. I hope Knight can overcome the broken nose. He's had a solid rookie campaign thus far. Worst case IMO is that if Wall had a supporting cast he'd atleast be Rajon Rondo. I agree with you about Wall needing to be a lot like Rondo, and could be with the right supporting cast. However I wonder if he would settle being just that. Wall does get his assists, however he does have some selfishness in him IMO. So even with a supporting cast, I worry about him still trying to force shots that he shouldn't take, and just trying to do that to much. That could change as he gets a little older and with more experience though obviously.

February 9, 201214 yr When did Jeremy Lin turn into Steve Nash? In all seriousness, he makes Baron Davis expendable and is a very nice change of pace from the pathetic point guard play the Knicks have had to this point. He looks legit after a week in the League.

What you see from him now is a product of what they have on their roster. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on that. Even in college I thought his game was a little selfish, not on the break it wasn't, but in the half court it was IMO. There was a lot of talent on the team, including a center in Cousins who was a man among boys in college. However once it got in the half court there were many times he would still try to force things, even though defenses were collapsing down on him in the half court. Most of his assists came on the break, and most of his turnovers came in the half court offense, because of trying to force things. I admit to not seeing him play all the time in the NBA, but from the games I have seen and from the stats it still seems like it can be a problem still. He is young though, and I dont know if he is even 21 yet. So I think with experience and just maturing could really help him more in becoming the star he is capable of being. He had a really good game last night!!
