December 23, 201114 yr Final in the whatever bowl Boise was relegated to this year. Some figures that were thrown out during the telecast (my memory isn;t what it once was, so I apologize if some of these are incorrect): QB Kellen Moore - 50 career wins; 142-28 TDs/INTs Head Coach Chris Petersen - 73-6 record at BSU
December 23, 201114 yr I guess that's part of the reason none of the BCS bowl-game teams want any part of them ...
December 23, 201114 yr Boise is not even close to deserving of a BCS bid. Not even close. To respond to this from the update thread. Please tell me how WVU, Clemson, Michigan, and Virginia Tech are more deserving? Remember just bringing more money, or having to be lucky enough to be in a conference with an automatic bid does not make you more deserving at all. So if you really want to talk about more deserving, I would really like to hear your argument for how those teams are more deserving. Which I guarntee you won't have a good argument for why they are more deserving. Your only argument would be well Boise didn't play in a BCS coference. Which is true, however just because those teams I mentioned do, does not mean at all that they are. Especially with how those conferences were this year. So good luck backing up your argument with they are not even close to deserving. IMO They are a better team that those 4 teams I mentioned, and those 4 teams didn't do anything more that was more deserving than them either. I form my opinions by what I see and look at things as a whole and how teams matchup. Boise is a top 10 team and definitely better than those teams. To many people like to think oh well since they were not in a BCS conference, no way they are one of the best teams. That is just wrong to think like that.
December 23, 201114 yr None of those teams you mentioned are deserving. The BCS without Arkansas is problem #1. No one is taking up for the BCS but to act like because Boise State beat UGA that they are deserving of a BCS bid is faulty also. Who did they lose to that cost them a bid? TCU? Sounds like Boise screwed the selves out of a BCS bid to me. Boise State is garbage and now that they are in the Big East their garbageness will be proven in due time.
December 23, 201114 yr I guess that's part of the reason none of the BCS bowl-game teams want any part of them ... What "great" teams has Peterson defeated and who are his losses to?
December 23, 201114 yr I do wish they would have gotten a BCS game. So tired of hearing about what they deserve. Give them Wisconsin. Or Michigan State. Or Oregon. Or Stanford. Or Oklahoma State. One of them. *crickets* And then *taps*
December 23, 201114 yr Boise totally deserved a better Bowl than they got. Not saying it should have been a BCS one though, but they are not garbage. That's a crazy statement people.
December 23, 201114 yr The good news for all is Boise State is in the Big East next year (it is next year right?...or is that 2 years away?). Anyway, Boise State gets into a BCS conference and we will all get to see where the BS is in this debate (pun intended).
December 23, 201114 yr Kellen Moore finished with a little under 15,000 passing yards in his collegiate career. That's unbelievable. I definitely think they deserve to be in the BCS. They have better wins and they're one loss is way better than Va Techs 2 losses to Clemson. There's just no way anybody can say anything other than that. 35-21 win at UGA and a 36-35 loss to TCU is way better than VTs 23-3 AND 38-10 losses to Clemson, and their best win being a 37-26 win over Georgia Tech. Please, somebody tell me how on earth VTs wins and losses, or even the eyeball test truly looks better than Boise's? I will be waiting for a rebuttal...

Nobody is saying the BCS is right either. Simply saying Boise is not deserving. Neither are the other teams. I still think South Carolina and Arkansas are more deserving.

December 23, 201114 yr There is only one bowl that matters and that is the one LSU and Bama are playing in. At the end of the day I don't care about the other bowls and I look forward to the day when Boise State plays some true top 5 teams and get exposed like Tim Tebow.

I still think South Carolina and Arkansas are more deserving. I personally do think they deserve it, not over the two SEC schools you mentioned, but over 4 of the teams in th BCS. But i understand where you're coming from so i dont completely disagree with you.
December 23, 201114 yr ASU was just poorly coached....not that I think it'll get better with Pitt's coach. Too many athletes, to constantly be making stupid mistakes.
