It seems it's been awhile since our friends from title town have been a contender for a state title. Is the near and far future bright for the Admirals?

I hope soon, they are my favorite 2A team. I really got to appreciate their program from all the years of the teams playing.

May be a while.

When there is a new coach in town...The current coach has had a nice run there, but I believe it may be time for him to step aside..

I'm sure they will be back again; when is definitely the question.

I expect the ADS to make a run next year. A lot of experience returning (12-13 seniors ) with an OL that has largely played together since 6th grade. Need to find a play-maker or two and see if the youth that was counted on so much can step up and be major contributors next season.

They have a young quaterback coming up, I think may start next year as a sophmore. I can't remember his name but he looks like he has more quickness and speed than Alcorn has. Danville had a lot of good sophmores this year, if they all get in the weight room and make a comitment then they will be very good next season, if not they will have another decent season like this year.

Where will Alcorn play?

I thought the largest of them was a first year transfer in from Garrard County?

You are correct, that is why I said largely, not entirely.

Don't know, but he needs to really work on his accuracy and decision making if he is going to be the starting QB.

I was kind of making a little pun with the word "largely."

Obviously it was a "little" attempt.

Hope the Ads right the ship soon because their is no one who respects and appreciates the tradition more than I.

Over the years do you think Danville has won due to coaching/discipline, or more from talent?? I have no dog in the fight just curious as to what others think?

That is a great question of which I have no answer. I think a convincing argument can be made for coaching/discipline as well as talent.

They won largely with talent and preparation. Sam Harp always was and always will be good at preparation and practice drilling the players to be sucessful. That is one type of good coaching. They did not really ever win with schemes and in game adjustments. That is another type of coaching. I don't know which you are referring to.
