Get me off my high horse, if you people want to show how much you know about football keep on talking about the AP poll. The BCS has an agreement with the schools, there is no split. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!! Hold on Tight Nellie we are in New Orleans.

 

We know how the BCS works, and know how it crowns it champion. The AP broke a way from the BCS because they didn't want to be tied into having to crown the National Champion based on a game that was determined by yes you guess it opinion's. If things are going to be determined by opinion they wanted to have their own opinion in deciding a champion after the bowl games is over.

 

So sorry to break it to you there could be a split Title. Which is something people do talk about and remember just like they remember the split title in I believe 2003 even though the BCS was back then too. So there is a chance that there could be a split like or not. Yes Bama could be crowned National Champions by the BCS, however LSU could be by the AP and that is something people do remember and could always forever say LSU and Bama split the title this year!

Show us where I "GOT MAD AT YOU", I'd get mad I'd send you a message, I've done it before. Not mad at you just think you are wrong and I have the Monday nite to prove it. I rarely "get Mad" frustrated a lot. I'm just on here waiting for monday. Win or lose man we are there and its a blast!

 

That is the thing what do you prove Monday night? Even if you win that does not prove that Oklahoma State couldn't have beated you or LSU. All that it proves is that your at least close to as good as LSU, and honestly if it is a close game again. It might prove that LSU is still better considering their small win came at Bama, while Bamas came at a neutral site. So nothing is proved at all, it is opinion that is giving Bama their shot. Which I am fine with, however teams like State and Standford should have gotten a shot too. It's not like I am putting down Bama, they are a great team. I would still be saying there needs to be a playoff if say State did go undefeated. I would be saying how teams like Bama, Stanford deserve a shot to play their way to the Championship through a playoff. I would be saying how we don't know if Oklahoma State could have gone undefeated in another conference. It's crazy to use opinions to do it, because each conference is different. So no one knows for sure who is better, unless you take the top teams in the conference and put them in a playoff. That is all I have been saying all along, it was no shot at Bama. If Bama wasn't in it, I still be saying how there would need to be a playoff system.

Your not eligntening anyone. People are trying to do that with you. Shoot went off on Mustang for simply saying what was being reported, and that is that the AP very well might vote LSU #1 and crown them Champs if they lose a close game.

 

You ask how can they crown them champs if they lose? Well that is a simple answer, LSU has been the best team all year long, and has the best resume and its really not even close. It's kind of not fair to them to have the best season, best resume, be SEC West Champs, SEC Champions, yet losing a game on a neutral field to a team that you already beat at their own home field. Yet that other team end up being crowned National Champion, without having to do anything to improve their resume since their loss. LSU even improved their resume since beat Bama. It has not happened before, but college football says its regular season is like a playoff, well LSU won the regular season playoff. So why can't they be champs? The most fair thing actually would be to crown them champions right now. Its better than what the current system does to crown a champ.

Isn't it crazy how BGP members can influence who you root for in a game? Does it effect anyone else like that? Not in a serious way, I don't hold anyone accountable on a personal level on here. It does make it more interesting though.

What split title? Who pays attention to the AP Poll? When was the last time a team won the BCS title game and held up or even took a picture with the AP trophy? Is there even an AP trophy? :lol:

I have to admit that my rooting for Tim Tebow greatly increased when I saw the venom thrown his way by our very own PP92. :lol:

People like me think it's ridiculously unfair for Alabama to get a second attempt. LSU did what they had to do, Alabama didn't, but they get rewarded anyway. Has nothing to do with OK. I don't mind if they "crown them now," I have stated that in other threads, but the format calls for a game to be played and the winner on Monday nite is the National Champs. You might as well give up that debate issue because you are losing that one. Again, a team loses and you want to give them a NC?

:lol: Larry I hate to break it to you, but you have no impact on the outcome of the game Monday. :lol: Assuming you're not talking about a church or rec league game, "you" don't have a game Monday, the Alabama Crimson Tide have a game. You are not a member of the team though.

OK, I've moved on, lets talk about some issues with the game. Jordan Jefferson is the key. He missed some time and Jared Lee did a great job, but he didn't play well against us back in November. He hasn't played since, but JJ has and has gotten all the reps and he is a very good QB.

 

I have always hated playing against a QB who is big and a very good runner. Cam/ Vince Young/Tebow/Russell the LSU QB/ JJ hurt us last game with at least two runs for first downs, and thats my main worry. When I played QB I looked to pass but would take off in a heart beat.

 

Their defense is just as good as ours, they put pressure on our QB, and also jammed the box with 7/8 trying to stop Trent, and for the most part they did. AJ (QB) has got to have a quicker release, use a three step drop. I wished he would run like JJ.

 

They have a great punter/kicker, we all know the history with our kickers.

 

Their Coach has gotten a bunch of respect, as being a joke for a while, but if Nick was to leave I'd take the Mad Hatter.

 

Running Backs they have 4, all great size, run hard but are young...(Future) We use 2/3 and I like the edge we have there.

 

So, they have a great team and if they win I'll give them all the credit, if they lose I'll still talk about a great season they have had. Having said that if we are lucky enough to play mistake free and not kick off/punt to them so they can run it back it will be a well deserved win. I love the fact its a SEC team no matter what.
