So if Bama wins this by say 1 or 2 points are they champs? I think they got the wrong 2 teams playing. Bama had their shot at HOME and lost. Why not give OSU a crack at it. OSU beat more ranked teams, and pounded OK this past weekend while Bama sat at home doing nothing since they couldn't make it to their conf title game. Boo hiss to the BCS!

LSU this year, Auburn last year, Florida 3 years ago, Utah 3 years ago. Even Texas was not the win many expected. Les has got him the last two years. What BCS game or Big game have they played well in the last 4 years Larry outside of one Florida game? Don't count Arkansas either, when is the last time they won anything. They're the SEC team that couldn't beat OSU.

1) Yes, I've seen Barron play numerous times....He's no where close to the level of Honey Badger or Claiborne. If he was, why isn't he projected like the LSU guys are at the next level?

3) I don't get my "knowledge" from watching ESPN all day and taking what the "experts" on their college football shows as gospel. I watch games and form my own opinions. Whenever the ball is in the air against the LSU defense or special teams, those two guys make everyone hold their breath. The two best DBs in the country and they're on the same team.

I care, I wrote it to make a point. He is an All American. I'm not going to your level and knock those guys for LSU, they are very good. Guys on ESPN get paid for a reason, and you can't watch every game. They have a lot more info at their hands than anyone. Let it be written, let it be done.

I have to agree on the LSU DBs. I think people have to remember that Saban is regarded as probably the best DB coach in America. That's what he coaches at practice. Alot of their success has to be attributed to scheme IMO because it doesn't matter who they plug in there.

 

Some of the things LSU's DBs do you cannot teach. I try it everyday with my CBs, but you can't do it. Granted I'm not a very old or experience coach, but still. It is something you have to be born with. Give me a choice of either teams DBs to have on my team and I'll take LSU's everyday. They'd make me look good.

 

Just testing my theory that Saban may outcoach himself in big games. With Colt McCoy playing for Texas, the SEC may not be sitting on 20 million championships in a row.

I haven't cared for Alabama since they hired their current coach. I hope LSU wins by 40+. However, IF Alabama somehow wins this game, I hope it is a sloppy 6-3 game after Okla St. wins by 50 in their bowl game!

(My apologies to AL... for what it's worth the one time I went to an Alabama football game I LOVED the experience. Few places compare to a game day event in Tuscaloosa.)

Come on man, I gave you facts. Saban is 2 of 7 in Big Games at Alabama. One of those two wins his team really didn't win by very much even though his opponent played without their Heisman finalist QB for all but about 6 plays of the game. Those are facts, not hate. That is a stat people really need to look at IMO. Alabama lost the game against LSU. Teams were about equal IMO, but Saban & co. lost the game. The trick play for a pick, the worst offensive drive in overtime history, the 4 unmakeable FGs that gave LSU field position.

 

Against UF the year they lost to them, UF takes a 3 point lead with 8 minutes left, and Alabama throws three deep bombs, punts and UF runs out the clock and scores a TD. They didn't show up against Utah after that. Alabama blew a 24 point lead to Auburn in a little over one half. All I said was there have been alot more bad moments for Saban in big games at Bama than good ones. I'm giving you facts. Dispute them with something other than I'm an Alabama hater please.

Can't win them all, but won enough to be happy with our coach. At leastr he doesn't run away when he gets beat, and if he wins on January 9th he will have a pretty nice record. He also won in 2003, did you mention that? I didn't read everything. I only go a few lines on everyone.
