Yeah, you are right, but come over and check my pulse. Its not often you have a chance to play/win this type of game. Look at 1992 until 2009. Also 1978/1979 until 1992. 1965 to 1973, and look here 1941 to 1961.

I have to admit that my rooting for Tim Tebow greatly increased when I saw the venom thrown his way by our very own PP92. :lol:

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I would hope people would have more going on in their lives to have so much invested in a stupid game. (and no, this doesn't just apply to Alabama football. Any and all sports programs) :idunno:

 

And, being completely honest, I was the same way until about 4-5 years ago. I just realized that sports are entertaining and fun, and its sad when people take them too seriously IMO.

We don't like the tree killer, but why pressure wash these beautiful trees to clean up all the Toilet paper they waste. I have Aunts (sisters) on my Dad's side who are in their 70s and don't speak because one is an Auburn Fan. Its a 365 day sport, we have no Pro teams, just a Car race track and fishing ponds. When I lived there I never touched a basketball until I was 12 and moved to Louisville.

 

A bunch of us got football Uniforms for Christmas in the 5th grade. Our teacher allowed us to bring them to school and model them, we played tackle football for about 5 days for over a hour each day.

 

There is a "Named after Coach Bryant Club". If anyone ever gets a chance to visit sometime you will at least see something different. The RVs in the parking lot, Tailgaters with big screen TVs to watch GameDay. The venders, the knowledge of fans. Go to Tidefans.com. Its a free site and you can read all day, you have to join to post.

Wait, it is a game, but its fun and we also go to Church, Hunt/fish, love our family, work jobs, in fact when I speak at Church or do a testimony I mention Alabama Football, but I also add Alabama football will not put anyone in Heaven and forgive our Sins. Your right its just a game that we love, and there is nothing wrong with that. After its over we have recruiting and then its over until April. You can only talk so much about it.

Just out of curiosity, I saw where you mentioned the '78 National Title. That one was a split title if I recall with USC, the only team that beat the Tide that year. If you can claim that one, and still not see the "problems" some have with the matchup, I don't know what else to say except Good Luck on Monday.

For someone reason you felt like that was taking a shot at Bama? So you really have wasted your time, because you have argued something for no reason. I have answered your question about who I like, I said it was Notre Dame I said it in the other thread. Which I am still trying to find out what team I like has to do with this thread? You act like I am attacking Bama when I was just attacking the system. If you look back I have said the samethings every year about the way college football decides its champion. However for some reason you took it as attack on your Bama team, and which is why you have gotten comments about your getting mad, or being on your high horse. Because you are arguing things for no reason, since no one has put your Bama team down. I have only put down the system, which also for some reason you felt like that since I put down the system that it meant I didn't know how it worked. Your little love affair with Bama has made you look real silly in this argument, since you are arguing for no reason.

I'm a Texas fan. Have been since my childhood and the days of Darrell Royal and the Wishbone.

 

I still think Oklahoma State should have been in based solely on the fact that they had not had an opportunity vs. LSU while the Tide had. Simple as that to me. I thnk the BCS was close to the same rationale. If I'm not mistaken the difference in the computer between the two was one of the closest margins ever. (If I'm mistaken I'm sure you can let me know)

Yes I did start saying those stuff since you took it so personal that I suggested there be a playoff. I didn't put down Bama or anything when your first decided it was an attack on your team for there being a playoff. And once again since you can't seem to learn this concept, I know how the BCS works. I know how it use to work before the BCS was even set up. Never once did I say I liked how they did it back then either. College football always has had the worst way in all sports in crowning a champion. My whole problem has been with the system, not with Bama. Then someone suggested how people are good enough to decide who is better by what they see. Well that is why I used the Bama/Utah thing, since Bama is one of the teams involved here. By looking at it no one would have though Utah could beat Bama, especially the way they did. That was just an example of why using opinion to decide things suck and why opinions are proven wrong a lot in sports. However since I mentioned that sad time of Bama losing to Utah you thought it was another shot at Bama. Even though that was a fact and no opinion, and did have to deal with what we were talking about. Which all of this would not have even been said, if you apparently didn't take offense to me saying there should be a playoff. That is where this all started, and for no reason. Look, I didn't get upset with you, man I have much more I'm dealing with than your comments. What frustraded me is I agreed with you on a playoff and talked about a Plus One on this site many times. What concerned me you kept saying Bama is there due to "opinions" and I was/am trying to tell you its always been like that. And you had to add little remarks about Bama.
