I don't think there is any doubt that LSU and Alabama are the two best teams. But, I don't think conference foes should face one another again for the championship in this non-playoff system unless there are extraordinary circumstances. While it seemed that every other team tried their best to play their way out of the championship and leave a LSU-Alabama rematch as the only option left, I think Oklahoma State did enough with their win last night to warrant a game with LSU. Alabama had their shot, at home. Give OK St. a shot. There really needs to be some kind of a playoff system.

Disagree. They lost to a subpar team. Bama lost to the #1 team in the country. Bama has earned the spot. The objective is to have the 2 best teams play each other, not give someone a chance.

Only way I think there should be rematches is if there are no other 1 loss teams in the top 5 that won their conf.

I would say it is more about finding a consensus champion. The "two best teams" in 2006 were Michigan and Ohio State and we saw how that worked out. Alabama had their chance to win the championship, let LSU remove all doubt against OK St.

OSU gave up 37 to 6-6 Iowa State in a 6 point loss...if you want to see a good game, you should want the 2 best teams.....LSU and Bama.

I didn't they were the two best teams. I don't remember for sure, but I don't think the computers did either.
