November 30, 201114 yr Does Syracuse have enough to fire him, yet? I think he'll eventually lose his job over this. His big mistake was calling the accusers liars at first.

December 1, 201114 yr ESPN has been all over the Penn State scandal, many of their announcers criticizing Paterno and others for not doing more, for not telling law enforcement. No two cases are identical, but it is interesting to learn that they themselves sat on evidence of a potential child abuse case. Do they hold themselves to the same standard? We all know the answer to that one. Most media/journalists NEVER hold themselves to the self righteous standards they hold everyone else to.
December 1, 201114 yr I think he'll eventually lose his job over this. His big mistake was calling the accusers liars at first. Fired or forced resignation? I think he hangs on. Wouldn't be surprised either way, but my feeling is he survives this.
December 1, 201114 yr Fired or forced resignation? I think he hangs on. Wouldn't be surprised either way, but my feeling is he survives this. It was just reported that numerous Syracuse players in the past had sex with Fine's wife. There is even a reported sex tape that is going to surface soon. This story is just getting started. Boeheim's ice will be getting thinner each time something like this comes out.

December 1, 201114 yr Thats why I said it could still happen, because the vote of confidence doesn't always mean much. Which by the way the coach in waiting has been a done deal since 2007, so it's not like they just came up with it now because of this situation. Your doing a good job back tracking now though man, especially since you are seeing that I am right. Which is that it is not a definite as you seemed to think that he will be gone. Especially as definite as you were making it sound like, like how it would be soon. I never said it wouldn't happen, all I have said you are wrong in thinking it was a for sure thing because it definitely is not. He will be fired b/c of this IMO. I've always said that. I don't speak like you and say it is factual that I am right. Here we go again just so you Understand. He will be fired b/c of this. I think it happens before this season ends. You can't survive calling possible child sexual assault victims extortionist artists and possibly be wrong. You can't make other possible victims scared to come forward b/c of your power and survive. He's done IMO

December 1, 201114 yr If I were an ESPN sponser I'd be pulling my advertising with them until they hold someone within the ESPN ranks responsible for sitting on the taped phone conversation. They claim they didn't turn it over to authorities because they couldn't validate it....Idiots, that what the police and authorities are for. :ohbrother:
December 1, 201114 yr Author It was just reported that numerous Syracuse players in the past had sex with Fine's wife. There is even a reported sex tape that is going to surface soon. This story is just getting started. Boeheim's ice will be getting thinner each time something like this comes out. That's sick, but not illegal. She's a very homely looking woman. On this, I don't see how you can blame Boeheim, but he will have to take the PR fall.

I hope there are no new victims (if there are any victims at all) since ESPN got the tapes. If there are ESPN is very responsible for not turning that info over to the police.
December 1, 201114 yr That's sick, but not illegal. She's a very homely looking woman. On this, I don't see how you can blame Boeheim, but he will have to take the PR fall. On FoxSports radio last night, they said the players used to have things going on all the time about "who could get her" and things like that. This allegedly all took place back in the 80's and possibly early 90's. One way that it could become illegal is if recruits were involved. They didn't say that or anything, but just throwing that out there.
December 1, 201114 yr http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/editorials/story/2011-11-30/Syracuse-tape-Nancy-Cantor/51513396/1 Excerpt: Had that tape surfaced in 2003, Fine would have been fired. Had we been given the tape in 2005, we would have gone straight to the authorities. Had we been given the tape on Nov. 17, there would have been no "administrative leave." Fine would have been fired on the spot. When the tape emerged for the first time on Nov. 27, we fired Fine. Those who held onto the tape for nearly 10 years owe everyone an explanation.

Mark Schwartz and the higher ups at ESPN should be fired ASAP. Talk about a group that has too much power....ESPN!!
December 3, 201114 yr We all know the answer to that one. Most media/journalists NEVER hold themselves to the self righteous standards they hold everyone else to. Just to clarify, talking heads spouting opinions on ESPN are not journalists in the truest sense of the word, much the same way Hannity, Olbermann, etc., are not journalists.
