It seems odd that you give your vote to a defensive player/special teamer ie not a lot of big stats and then say that stats make you think Ball and RG3 are most deserving.

Rank them by your "best player" standard. Same?

Aren't Tyrann Mathieu's defensive & S/T stats out of this world?

Compared to what? TD passes? Rushing yards?

Where do you put Matt Barkley in that list?

Other DBs and or defensive players. Who has as many Heisman moments? They have to make them up for Richardson & Luck.

Barkley likely has more offensive talent around him than anyone else on the list. What would RGIII or Luck do with Lee and Woods or that stable of backs?

My vote would go to the Honey Badger. Defensive players don't get enough love.

Conjecture is part of the voting process. I could say that about a lot of QBs.

No love for Montee Ball? None?

Saw "Money Ball" in person against Penn St. a couple of weeks ago. The kid is for real and is nothing but a Stud. Very deserving imo. His numbers are ultra impressive.

Neither of which are Luck or RGIII.

My ballot....

1.) Montee Ball-I'm do glad he got an invite. Now I can't wait to see him become the new single season touchdown leader in his next game

2.) Tyrann Mathieu-he has sparked both LSU initial scores the last two games and he is a game changer. Special special player

3.) Matt Barkley-He proved to be not only the best qb out west but in the nation

4.) Robert Griffin III-Another special player but the losses bother me

5.) Trent Richardson/Andrew Luck-the two preseason favorites lived up to the hype but those 4 guys I listed above them had better seasons...IMO.

Did he? Seemed like Luck got the job done against him this and last year.

Forgot about that(last year don't count, though). I was thinking USC beat Stanford and Oregon but it was just Oregon. Should have beaten Stanford but dude didn't get out of bounds in time. My fault.

3.) RGIII

4.) Luck/Richardson

5.) Barkley-he did finish strong.

My thing with Barkley is that if Oregon's kicker doesn't miss a FG I don't think anyone talking for Barkley. He'd still be the guy that doesn't win big games.

I think it should be Honey Badger, hands down.

Is anyone traveling with these kids, you know away from home and things can happen?
