Sounds good, I hope he can go to NY, and let the best man win...Gino Torretta :idunno:

I need some help with Gino Torretta reference.

WOW. You have a problem with the SEC?

Obviously he doesn't if he thinks Mathieu is the best player and would give it to him. He has Richardson 5th. Does your bias blind you as to why the other 4 are more deserving?

The answer to the bolded is a resounding Yes....

He won it in 1992 and didn't do well in the pros at all, and after he won it they the Canes played Bama in the NC and we ate him up. It wasn't pretty. But look at all the winners and not many have done well in the pros.

The Cornhusker QB Eric Crouse (SP) comes to mind.

On the show some expert said Trent will win if he has a decent game against Auburn, the reason he gave was Trent will be on everbody's ballot at 1/2/3 where Luck and Griffin3 might not get some higher votes in the south and east. Not me saying this but ESPNU.

^And those guys are always right... I'm just messing with you AL, but I don't put much stock into what the "experts on ESPN" say.

Oh. Okay. I don't think the Heisman should be an award to the player with the best pro potential. If so, then Luck and Trent should fight for it. If it is going to award the player who had the best season then my ballot would go....

1.) RG3

2.) Ball

3.) Barkley

4.) Trent

5.) Luck

Do you think Barkley can actually make some headway in the Luck-fest?

Yes. Out west, Luck is not considered as good as Barkley or Arizona's Nick Folwes.

Like Clyde said, he plays against poor, poor defenses. Comparable stats prove whose the better QB.

Poor defense or not this numbers and wins at Baylor are outstanding. No one else in the country could do for Baylor what RGIII has done IMO.

No one outside of Ball and Keenum have put up completely ridiculuous numbers.

I kinda figured that because it gets in the way of your argument...

I'm sorr but if you think UF has a good defense we have no business dicussing this any further because we have a totally different opinion of what good is. Playing against 3 scrub OOC teams, and the SEC which has all of one good offense IMO and UF didn't play them. Stats rarely tell the whole story for a defense, offense or one player.

So because I put your guy 5th, means I have a problem with the SEC....

Did you just ignore the part that I said if they gave it to the best player, that Mathieu should win it? Last I checked LSU was in the SEC.

Wow. I hope that is just bias out there. Luck out played Barkley with far less talent a few weeks ago.

The LSU DB won't be close, I thought it was a real sample of your picks I misread about the LSU DB sorry. You having Trent 5th shows me you just have a problem with Trent, but just be honest. Do you really think he will be 6th? if you really do and Trent is 5th or 6th I'll stay off this site for a month. You just do nothing. But your college football posts will leave me with the thought you are not very good at picking.

So, are you just against Trent which is fine with me, or do you really think he will finish 5th/6th?

I could be wrong but I don't think he was making a prediction.

You really have problems with reading my posts. I was saying that's what MY BALLLOT would look like. I said in the sentence above it that I thought Richardson would win. Why is that so hard to grasp?

I don't have a problem with Richardson, I want the Bengals to draft him. I just don't think his college season has been as good as the other guys I've mentioned ahead of him. RG3 is Baylor, they maybe win a game without him. Luck is Stanford. Barkley is USC this season, and Ball's #'s are better than Richardson's against better run defenses. If there's anyone who is being biased in this thread it's you AL. Anyone that doesn't pick Richardson to win you immediately think has a problem with Bama....:ohbrother:

There are several players that could win the award and I wouldn't have a problem with it. I don't think anyone has clearly distinguished themselves at this point.

Robert Griffin III

Matt Barkley

Andrew Luck

Trent Richardson

Montee Ball

That's a minimal list of guys that could win the award without complaint from me. And, to be honest, I could probably add a few more names. My top 3 would be Griffin, Barkley and Richardson.

I couldn't disagree more about Tyrann Mathieu. He was in the picture early, but he hasn't done a whole lot lately. Defensive players have to make plays, especially late in the season and in the big games. According to the ESPN game log, he hasn't forced a turnover since October 8th against Florida. LSU has played 5 games since then, Mathieu has played in 4, and he has 17 tackles and 3 pass defenses. He's returned 26 punts for 186 yards. I'm just not seeing Heisman or best player there.
