192 all purpose yards against LSU.

Ky posted some stats but here is one, Kent State Trent got 37 yards and they are ranked in the top 25 in rushing defense.

Top 25 Weeden faced only one team, Luck faced none, how many did Trent face? 5. His team is ranked #2 and that speaks highly of him...Also who is the back up to all ther other guys? And who is the back up to Trent? Ed Lacey gets a lot of carries and is very good and Trent doesn't mind when Ed gets carries.

Barkley is very good and was highly sought after in High school, I'm not sure but a school on probation and the Heisman might not fit. He has a great future and hope he retunrs to USC. Also I'm not sure if the PAC 12 has any teams ranked in the 25 see Luck who has none he faces.

I also like RG3, he has had a great year and should go to NY.

No one giving Barkley any love?

Legit question. Oregon coach says Barkley is the best QB he has seen this year.

Over 400 passing attempts, 33 TDs and 7 INTs. 3100+ yards.

Luck is at 2900 yards, 31 TDs, and 8 INTs.

He's more deserving than any of those three.

I'm not arguing that at all, nor am I saying I support it. He's just not the popular choice.

Like Clyde said, he plays against poor, poor defenses. Comparable stats prove whose the better QB.

Montee Ball has scored at least 2 tds in every game this year. Most dominating running back in college football this year.

Can you give some insight on the teams he played against who rank in the top 25 in rushing defense? I know Penn State is one. Trent has five, lets compare and Trent has 22 TDs. I disagree with your statement.

This is a false statement. According to http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/1042

Alabama has faced 5 teams(LSU(4), Vandy(20), Kent State(22), Penn State(8) and Florida(17) who are amongst the top 25 in TOTAL defense and have only faced two teams(LSU(2), Vandy(22) that are ranked in the top 25 amongst Rushing defense.

Wisconsin has faced three teams(Michigan St(3), Illinois(9) and Ohio State(16) that are ranked in the top 20 for TOTAL defense. After they play Penn State(8) this week they will have played four of the top 20 TOTAL defenses in the nation. Wisconsin has faced two teams(Michigan State(10) and Illinois(23) in the top 25 for Rushing defense.

Alabama didn't face South Carolina or Georgia this year so the belief that Trent faced 5-top 25 rushing defenses isn't backed up by the stats on http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/1042 you can access the rushing defense stats from this page. The stats seem to support Montee Ball and not Trent Richardson.

Too bad a "name" player has to win the Heisman.

Montee Ball.....1466 yards rushing, 25 rushing tds, 233 yards receiving, 5 receiving tds.

Trent Richardson......1380 yards rushing, 20 rushing tds, 322 yards receiving, 2 receiving tds

Both of these guys put up these numbers against similar defenses. Montee Ball has been the better college running back this season according to the numbers.

So he gets the trophy just because he plays in the SEC? Why doesn't the SEC break away from the NCAA and just play in the AFC or NFC?

Why don't they? It looks like that's the only place they'll find some competition. :D

Numbers aren't always reliable. Would you really pick any other RB over Trent Richardson?

Matt Barkley has broken almost all the single-season QB records at USC, and there have been a lot of great USC QB's. I think he'll dominate the west-coast Heisman votes enough to take advantage of splits elsewhere.

Do you think Barkley can actually make some headway in the Luck-fest?

For the Heisman? Yes. Montee Ball has been better than Trent Richardson this season. Period. I put the numbers up for Alabama Larry so he'd understand that Montee Ball has faced defenses as tough as Trent has and he still has better numbers. I thought the Heisman is supposed to award the player who has had the best season. Trent has not been better than Montee this season. Montee Ball has been a touchdown machine this season. If he had received the preseason hype like Trent and Luck he would be the front runner right now.

92, is this the Wisconsin back? I have not seen him, what is their record? How come we don't hear much about him? Trent only has maybe one more game to show the nation he is the best back and complete team player, I'll try to watch your guy and give an honest report.

Is total numbers the best way to decide? When Mark Ingram won Trent got a bunch of carries and even scored some TDs that had to hurt Mark's total, same as Ed this season, who is your guy's back up RB? I wonder if you know.
