Coach Molestation Investigation

Featured Replies

Fire JB, it is no differetn than Parterno. Amazing how allegations can get you let go or fired, especially when no evidence.

Penn St, how is Sandusky already guilty when they havent event showed proof yet, just peoples words against his. I do think he did it though, but according to our great laws, he isnt guilty yet. If he was he would be in jail

The response from Paterno vs. the respone from JB is extremely different. Makes you wonder a little bit.

I've thought this whole time, because of the timing, that this was just somebody trying to make a few bucks. If I'm wrong, then I hope everybody involved are in a jail cell, but as of now, JBs response is exactly what i was thinking.

There is a BIG difference in the amount of "evidence" and witnesses with these two cases up until this point. Not sure how you cannot see the difference.

Agreed, big differences.

I thought it said on the ESPN bottomline that JB didn't know about it?

Not taking anything away from the disgusting crime that happened. But is there a statute of limitations on things like this, it happened in the 80's?

Im not sure about other states but in KY there is no statute of limitations on felonies.

Agreed. The Penn State case has multiple eye witnesses. This one has none.

And leaked grand jury testimony with gory details. Not to mention the alleged perp being charged and arrested.

Still only ones words vs another words

Amazing the eye witnesses did nothing, if they saw it why not do nothing until now.

It is the same thing, JB didnt molest the kids no more than Paterno did. Paterno aint the police or judge or jury, what he did was what he was supposed to do.

So if we ask how JoePa didn't know do we ask how in the world Jimmy B didn't know?

Gotta wonder since when did the old "don't ask, don't tell" military policy start applying to college coach pedophiles?

If you want to argue that Paterno should not have been fired, that is fine. But trying to draw the parallel between the two situations is incorrect, in my opinion. If there is an 800 lb gorilla in the room for the Syracuse case, there is an 80,000 lb. elephant in the room for the PSU case.

Sure, neither side has had their day in court. But luckily for us we do not constantly live in a courtroom and the court of public opinion means something.

Until more details come out, this is a different species of the same animal kingdom. First of all, Syracuse conducted an investigation, according to reports in 2005. The ball boy could get nobody to collaborate his story.

Now Sandusky was caught on tape in '98 saying that his genitalia had touched a young boys IN THE SHOWER AT PENN STATE. There was an investigation, and in an amazing coincidence, Sandusky retired the next season. In 2002, Paterno heard of Sandusky in the shower AGAIN w/ another young boy. He told the AD and then sat on his hands.

That's the difference. Now if it comes out that JB sat on his hands, then he should get the same treatment.

So is Paterno the police, judge, jury?

He is no more than what JB is to the basketball team.

What is good for one is good for the other.

- No person asked Paterno to be police, judge, or jury. His moral obligation and obligation to the University is more than simply getting it off his desk and washing his hands clean of it. Who he reported to it was a puppet of Paternos and former QB.

- Boheim is not Syracuse. Paterno is PSU and runs the show.

- If more is brought to light then sure.

I very much believe that everything at Penn State is true. Not even going to bother trying to convince mountainref.

I doubt the validity of the Syracuse situation. I need more info. After seeing the two guys on Sportscenter I need more evidence of what happened. Seems fishy.
