Those videos are great. WYMT Sports department is second to none. They do those every week where they wire up a few coaches. They do a Thursday evening preview of the next night's games. Plus they do a good job on their regular sports broadcasts as part of the news.

 

But their crowning jewel is the "Sports Overtime" show that airs after the 11pm news on Friday nights. First class coverage of many games each week. I love having WYMT as a local TV station.

Birds by 21

JC's strength on O plays to Highlands' weakness on D and that is running b/n the tackles. Bruns is very good and the D-Ends are good, however, overall the Birds struggle when the opposition is able to run right at them. If you run counters, or try to get outside, no dice. However, the veer may be perfect. That being said, if JC fails to score on one or two possessions in the first half, they'll find themselves behind by 10+ and that will create a huge snowball effect b/c they won't be able to pass to get back into it.

I hope Jude gets a ton of carries against our second, third and fourth string also! Not only will it mean we would have been up huge, but it means our backups (who will be the starters next year) will get a ton of great experience defending against one of the best backs in Ky and it means the kid who will be JC's running back next year won't get some experience this year that could prepare him for next year when he might have to face the Birds again. Man I hope your prediction is correct for so many reasons.

JC averages 378 yard on the ground and only 30 in the air per game which means ball control. Dont think this will work on Highlands. Highlands 42-21

Don't get these types of predictions. JC runs ball control and I don't see them turning the ball over enough for HHS to put up those kinds of numbers that quickly.

Agreed. Unless JC dumps it once every 5 plays then there is no way the Birds can score these kind of points. IDK, even 28 for the game seems high to me. Iam going with the Birds in one of those games that the score doesnt match the play in the game. Birds 28-14. For those that dont know JC, against a good Defense a 14 pt margin of victory is comfortable despite the fact that JC usually needs 6-8 minutes to score.

Last yr Highlands scores the late TD just before half to put the Birds up 14-7. Birds come out 2nd half and get a huge return on ko. Highlands dumps it and the ball jumps directly up into kids hands and nobody between him and endzone. Just like that tie ballgame. Now my point is, if Highlands scores there to start the 2nd half it puts them up 14 and very unlikely JC has enough time in the game to score enough to tie it. The key last yr was Adam Weinel ability to put the ball in the endzone and not allow JC to attempt any kind of return and of course the Defense does not give up the big play. Successful teams against JC must have a very disciplined Defense.

I don't know Sweep, I understand a storm is a brewin for Friday night. And it could get ugly. You said in another thread that it was going to be cold Friday night. Just saying!
