Is Beechwood better than NewCath? Is NewCath better than Beechwood? Doesn't matter, when you have two "high quality" teams playing either team can win on "any given Friday", and Beechwood was that team this year and they deserve the bragging rights that come with it. Yes, everyone wants to say "we are better than you", however when it's all said and done it's best when you are the winner of game 15 of the high school season then you have the ultimate bragging rights, STATE CHAMPS. Let's hope both teams can claim that this year and be present together on the turf at Paul Brown Stadium being honered at the Cincinnati Bengals final home game.

I come from Michigan where there has been 8 divisions for some time in HS football. They are called Division 1, Division 2,.........etc. You get the pattern. Why are the divisions in KY called 1A, 2A, 3A and so forth? Are there divisions 1B, 2B, 3B and so forth that we don't know about?

Actually the classes are listed as A AA AAA AAAA AAAAA AAAAAA But it is much easier to just say 1A 2A etc.......Of course the old way was just A AA AAA AAAA

In fairness, according to the Civil War siding thing, we're all Yankees. Also, be careful judging teams based off of internet feed games. They all look like JR. High teams on the internet. NewCath is a very good team. They lost to a very good Beechwood team. The great thing about this game is that it exposed fixable weaknesses for both right before the playoffs. NewCath's kick coverage would have never been exposed like that, nor Beechwood's difficulty w/ defending quick hitting runs. Now they know where to adjust and hopefully it pays off for both. Really need to get both teams healthy.

The only thing "greater" about Cincinnati is the fact that it's connected to Northern Kentucky. When someone asks me where I'm from, I say NKY. I would never, ever claim to be from Cincinnati or Ohio for that matter.
