October 26, 201114 yr I've seen some reports that DirectTV and Fox are not having any luck in their negotiations in regards to various Fox channels. DirectTV is saying that they will not be carrying FX. I think I read that some regional Fox Sports might be dropped as well.
October 26, 201114 yr If they don't work something out, DIRECTV is dropping the channels on November 1st. This includes: FX National Geographic Speed Fuel TV Fox Soccer Fox Movie Channel Regional Fox Sports There's too much at stake to not work something out.
October 26, 201114 yr With the UK basketball season quickly approaching, this news is incredibly disheartening. Fortunately, I'm past my two year obligation with Direct & will have no qualms switching back to Dish Network if I need to.
October 26, 201114 yr I though they said they were just suspending these channels while they continue negotiations not completely dropping them. So who is lying? Fox Networks or Direct? Are the competitors paying 40% more?
October 26, 201114 yr I though they said they were just suspending these channels while they continue negotiations not completely dropping them. So who is lying? Fox Networks or Direct? Are the competitors paying 40% more? Probably both. I'd be shocked if they don't get a deal done. If not I will for sure be calling to complain and/or cancel. I won't take no for an answer either. I signed a contract thinking I would have these channels and now they aren't offered. I have a feeling they get a deal done just in time. Timewarner had a similar situation with some channels not long ago. They got a deal done just in time.
October 27, 201114 yr It is strange to see two corporations going all out against one another in a he said she said situation. They are like politicians. DirecTV has channels next to all of the possible suspended channels saying it is Fox's fault and Fox is bombarding social networks blaming DirecTV. I am more upset with DirecTV since Fox is claiming to have said to keep running the channels until a deal is done. I don't understand why DirecTV wouldn't do that. Has anyone called DirecTV yet?
October 27, 201114 yr I think we are at the tip of the iceberg. I watched a show called Damages and now to my knowledge it is only available on Direct and not Dish anymore and we all know the deal with NFL Sunday Ticket. The competition had to be working behind the scenes to do the same thing to Direct and in the end this is bad for all customers. I feel like a child when I say it but Direct started it!

The competition had to be working behind the scenes to do the same thing to Direct and in the end this is bad for all customers. I feel like a child when I say it but Direct started it! That's a slightly different situation. FX dropped Damages and Audience/101 Network picked it up. That network is owned by DirecTV and therefore only available on DirecTV. The rest I agree with. Things seem to be getting worse, not better, as far as channel availability. As soon as we get almost every network in HD, they start pulling channels out from under us.
October 27, 201114 yr There is a warning on the DirecTV menu guide telling us we might lose these channels on November 1st. FX carries some major sports. I like FMC, I will not be happy either.
October 27, 201114 yr For those of us that only get some UK and Reds games on Fox Sports South and Ohio, will we lose them?
