A postseason advantage Christian County has is that every playoff game of theirs would be at home. John Hardin would have to travel west in the state semifinals.

The same East Jessamine team that lost to an 0-8 team last week? The same Woodford County team that's lost their four district games by an average of 4 touchdowns? Just because they were ranked at the time doesn't necessarily make them great wins.

 

Of course you are forgetting that East lost their best player and whole offense. If the same East Jessamine team that FC played showed up against West Jessamine I bet the outcome would of been different.

Just out of curiosity, where do you get schedule strength from? Is there a website, or do you do that yourself? Got a link, because that would be awesome to see.

Sound like the scribe is comparing schedules and not results. If #6 beats #7 by 30 there should definitely be more than 1 poll position separating them. Especially when it is at #7's backyard and it could have been 50 if not for called back touchdowns. Even Kentucky has come within 30 a couple of times this year...

When teams have similar records, then yes, I compare schedules.

It was a question that I was looking for an answer to, not saying that they shouldn't move up. Just sayin.

Of this group I have seen Harlan Co play. They are big, stong and very good football team. Look for them to make some noise in the playoffs.

 

I think Harlan County will be the team that comes out of the east for sure. I think they've got a better case for being underranked at this point than any other in the poll.

My only change MIGHT be Christian County over Warren Central, but its really splitting hairs on that one. They both have pluses and a couple minuses.

 

I've said for a while that I feel like that has described spots 3-5. Maybe we should add Franklin County to that mix. You have the Bowling Green/John Hardin tier (favorites), and then the Christian County/Franklin County/Harlan County/Warren Central tier (contenders).

 

My gut feeling is Central is better than Christian County, but the truth is that's a tough call to make at this point. As you said, each has pluses and minuses. Pretty soon we'll find out because I expect them to meet in the second round of the playoffs.

I went to the link and I can't see how its broken down by class. All I see is every school in the state (9 pages worth) listed. Is there something I'm supposed to do once I get there?
