Why don't the Kenton County Commonwealth Attorney and Beechwood have confidence in...

SG, it happens all the time where someone/victim reports a crime and then they give you less than full cooperation.
Ok, but what do the people who gave the boosters money feel about it? As I see this as not being one victim (the school), I see this as having many victims (the people who gave money to the boosters).

Voice, what is your opinion on the sweeping it under the rug theory?

I am not going into specifics .... But nothing was ever swept under the rug.

quick, I am not suggesting anything was swept under the rug, I am suggesting it was a consideration under the old Super and that is what caused issues with Fort Mitchell investigating the case properly.

Has anything happened in this case yet? I had heard that something might happen in March and it's now April.

I think a lot of people assumed nothing was going on in this case because they didn't know what was going on. Building a case with solid evidence takes time.

The school was not trying to sweep anything under the rug, or being uncooperative. The school attorney reported the crime to the Ft. Mitchell Police. I doubt after reporting, he had any say in who did the investigation.

Nothing but noise and your opinion.

Give us something new and factual?

Did I miss the news that my man Shooter was back? Welcome back. You're intelligence has been missed.

Former Beechwood booster treasurer pleads guilty | NKY.com | cincinnati.com

The former treasurer of the Beechwood High School Athletic Boosters pleaded guilty Monday to stealing from the nonprofit group.

Shelli Slusher, 44, of Fort Mitchell admitted in Kenton Circuit Court to taking more than $10,000, a felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison. The theft occurred from January 2005 to June 2010.

Boosters think she stole $60,000 but prosecutors can only prove $30,000 so that's what she has to pay back. They're recommending 5 years probation, 30 days in jail and 6 months home incarceration????

Not an attorney, but doesn't that seem light??

I am not an attorney, but wouldn't the appropriate plea deal to offer have been you can have the 30 days in jail and the 6 months of home incarceration, but you need to pay back the entire amount we believe you stole or we can take it to court?

I thought so. Seems to me she might have made off with $30,000 after she pays back $30,000. I'd do 30 days and stay home for 6 months for $30,000. :D
