Hank's opening is the only interesting part about Monday Night Football this season. I guess they should ban games of all team's who have coaches that make war references or players that try to give input on social issues?

October 3, 201114 yr I guess if he wins we'll be obliged to call him Senator Bocephus from Tennessee. Good luck to him. His ideals don't mirror mine, but I admire his intestinal fortitude to jump in the political ring. He's got a lot of skeletons that aren't in the closet, so I'm sure he's in for a mud-slinging campaign season. On the other hand, I don't know if TN has a Democratic candidate that can go toe-to-toe with him. At least it'll be an interesting Senatorial race to watch.
October 4, 201114 yr Didn't Reagan get a ton of critizism when he jumped into politics? How'd that work out? And before you think I'm saying Hank is the next Reagan I'm simply pointing out you never know. Could be the worst ever but could also turn out to do great things. Just not going to judge someone based on what I think I know about them, which for most on here I would say starts and ends with his songs.
October 4, 201114 yr Everyone (in the media not on here) has made a huge deal about the comments he made on Fox News this morning and after going back and watching it for a few times I do not see how he was comparing Obama to Hitler. So much uproar has been made about this ESPN pulled his Monday Night Football intro, and that is Monday Night Football. So many articles I've seen titled, "Hank Williams Jr. Obama is like Hitler". I just think its stupid this big of deal has been made out of something when he was just comparing a situation to Hitler basically by saying it would have been like Hitler buddying up with his enemies. He was talking in context of it would be like Hitler extending the olive branch to one of his oppositions and go have a friendly game of golf with him. IMO Bocephus was just trying to say politics should still be competitive and instead of joining together and being all buddy buddy things should go back to when two sides are opposed. That is what I have took from it anyway, don't see the "Obama is like Hitler" thing, thats out of context IMO regardless of how Hank Jr. said it. With that said I will say Jr. didn't look good this morning on the interview. It was obvious he looked a little wild and maybe said some things that were a little out of line, but def not as bad as it has been made out to be. Will be interesting to see how this helps/hurts him in the senate bid.

As far as ESPN goes it doesn't matter what he was saying. All that matters is what the public thinks or hears about it. They chose to disassociate their brand from the firestorm.
