October 4, 201115 yr Author So it's possible for our country to rig the Presidential election, but it's not possible for a mass-murderer like Hitler to have killed his niece.... Folks, that's logic right there. I usually strap on a seatbelt before diving into a Mt Ref thread. It's always a ride!
October 4, 201115 yr ROLL TIDE! But Hank has some issues. What does Alabama have to do with anything?
October 4, 201115 yr What does Alabama have to do with anything?Hank was wearing a Bama hat in the interview.
October 4, 201115 yr So it's possible for our country to rig the Presidential election, but it's not possible for a mass-murderer like Hitler to have killed his niece.... Folks, that's logic right there. Folks to believe nothing is impossible like a simple rigging of an elecetion, now there is logic. I also guess it is a good think Copernicus didnt beleive the catholic church when they said the sun revolved around the earth. Imagine if he had believed everything he was supposed to . But dont worry UKMustangFan, it is ok to be closed minded. Keep believing whatever they tell you so you can sleep better at night knowing our government isnt capable of doing this.
October 4, 201115 yr ^ The anger is high in the populace. As bad as Obama's approval ratings are, Congress' are much worse. It is going to be a very interesting election year, especially if there is no improvement in the economy. The reason Congress has such low ratings is that the radicals are mad at the Dems for not being liberal enough and the conservatives are mad at the moderate RHINOS. Hitler did have millions killed, but first he manipulated and lied to the people of Germany and then used his power to become dictator and steal the liberties of the German people. That is the comparsion that many make. Not the killing of millions. Becoming dictator had to happen before the mass killings could occur. Some are worried about government becoming too powerful and the loss of freedoms. Never say it could never happen here.
October 4, 201115 yr Dear Irritating People, Please stop using Hitler in comparisons. Even if you're not using it to speak about someone specifically, it never comes off well. You just end up sounding ridiculous. Hitler was a mass-murdering, autocratic, mustachioed Austrian. He is not a good jumping-off point for conversation unless that conversation is about how mass-murdering, autocratic, mustachioed Austrians are bad. Signed, Everyone Else I agree except Hank wasn't comparing anyone to Hitler.
October 4, 201115 yr ^ Didn't say he was; he used Hitler's name in a comparison. After that, nothing else a person says matters. All anyone hears is "Hitler". That's why people should just stop it.
October 5, 201115 yr Hitler was too in love with her to kill her or have her killed. But yes Hitler was a very bad person, Stalin was worse though. He could order countless thousands or millions of people killed but he couldn't or wouldn't kill her? You are joking right?
October 5, 201115 yr ^ Didn't say he was; he used Hitler's name in a comparison. After that, nothing else a person says matters. All anyone hears is "Hitler". That's why people should just stop it.I disagree. If he would have said "Obama is like Hitler because..." then I agree. There's a reason it's been talked about all day and ESPN dropped him or will drop him.
October 5, 201115 yr I agree except Hank wasn't comparing anyone to Hitler. True, but that fact ruins a good smear campaign....
October 5, 201115 yr I agree except Hank wasn't comparing anyone to Hitler. I don't know, we can split hairs about whether it was meant to be a literal comparison, but if someone is invoking Hitler it's hard to believe it was meant to be innocuous.
October 5, 201115 yr Author If you think you would vote for Hank on what would you base your vote that would send him to Washington?
October 5, 201115 yr I don't know, we can split hairs about whether it was meant to be a literal comparison, but if someone is invoking Hitler it's hard to believe it was meant to be innocuous. He was using it as an illistration to show hwo dumb it was for them to be playing at all, much less together. He could have said "it's like a cat and dog playing together". He was obviously trying to make as extreme an analogy as he good.
October 5, 201115 yr If you think you would vote for Hank on what would you base your vote that would send him to Washington?I would have to research his stance on the issues then decide. Since he isn't running in Kentucky I couldn't really care less what his stance is. On face value I would have a hard time voting for him.
