Louisville fans are putting a lot of stock in this because he's got a pretty conservative record for breaking news and because he's seen as a party-line mouthpiece for the athletic department.

The league would pray that the TV contract got opened up, as NBC is perceived as being willing to drive up the price. In fact, that was an important factor in the Big East's TV contract talks. You know, the ones where Pittsburgh was soooo helpful.

October 11, 201114 yr Now what? Mizzu looks to be settling down and everything I am hearing is staying in the Big 12. I am hearing the Big 12 says they want to stay at 10, but rumblings about adding SMU and Houston coming soon. Sec is holding off for now but seems to want to add a 14th to balance the scheduling. Where does this leave UL. In a new version of CUSA - UL, UC, USF, Rutgers, UConn, WVA. adding the following Navy, Army, Air Force, UCF, East Carolina, Boise St. Although if they can add Boise St, Navy, and Air Force it is a step up of Syracue and Pitt.
