The CCH D was better prepared for this game.

 

The fundamental difference between this year's team and last.

You guy's assumed it was me that started this. Please take a look at how this got started and don't call me out. "You don't know anyone with "any sense" would say it". Ya might want to look a couple of posts above this one!

 

Anyway, I just noticed SS, aka "MF#1Fan", has called-out the BW faithful on another non-sense thread. I think it's borderlien taunting, but it is what it is...in the meantime, Can someone in MF pls help him find something to do?

Crunch sir you are correct, it was Snake who also informed me a few minutes ago and yes I do apologize and certainly did not mean for it to come across as calling you out though I do see that is how it turned out and to think we all thought is was Quickslick. Where is Quick these days? Did you guys ban him or somthing? He has been holding his tongue so far this year or maybe he was ordered to stay mum.

you fellas have way too much time on your hands. I know it's tough, but your glory days are over so stop trying to live through these kids...just enjoy watching these kids play and try being a little humble in your childrens' success.

 

It get boreing behind a desk all day. This helps relieve a little of the boredom.

I have yet to find anyone who thinks it will be easy. Mayfield expects to win every game no matter the opponet but isn't that the way it is suspose to be? BW does seem to have a mental edge on the rest of 1A that is not present with Mayfield, maybe that is what is confusing you. Losing to BW is a very real possibility, it will take a good effort to advance to their shot at a 9th State title.

Let's dust this game thread off and take a look again in light of the CCH / Highlands game yesterday. Anyone's thoughts about Beechwood and/or their performance versus CCH change after how CCH played versus Highlands? Do people still want to use the easy out and try to claim fatigue instead of accepting the fact that CCH has one of the best offensive lines seen in recent years and a great RB behind it in Gray? After all, Highlands plays platoon football and CCH seemed to not have much trouble moving the ball against them. Any other thoughts?

The fumbles hurt. They made a difference in the score and who knows, maybe even the outcome. In light of the CCH/HHS game, I think it sheds a positive light on the Tigers.

 

If Beechwood can stop the fumbles and tackle correctly they can play with anyone left on the schedule and should be able to go deep into the playoffs, possibly even the big game in Bowling Green.

As for CC's efforts yesterday, I was impressed with the CC offense all the way around from the qb and recievers to the line and Gray. Highlands defense was on their heels. I think it made Bw's effort look pretty good, I even told a buddy who was with me listening as much.

I agree with you TP. The CCH showing versus Highlands not only raised opinions of CCH, but also of Beechwood considering how close their game was.

I don't think stating fatigue in the CCH/Beechwood game is taking an easy out, IMO it just is the way it is. I don't think there is any doubt that the top 11 players at Beechwood are on the same level as the top 11 at CCH and probably Highlands. The deciding factor is how many of those 11 are not coming off the field? Even for a 16-17 year old stud, not getting to take a break when the guy across from you gets a breather now and then takes it toll towards the end of the game. You get just a step slower or the legs don't drive like they did early in the game. It is not a knock on Beechwood, but I think just stating the difference between 1 or 2A teams and good 4-5-6A teams. The reverse of this is why Beechwood is able to beat some bigger schools, their 11 best are much better than the other teams 11 best.
