Does anyone else thing Bruschi completely overreacted?

For those who haven't read the tweet...He's talking about Tom Brady's performance.

And what was Bruschi's comment? I don't see anything wrong with Chad's tweet. I briefly heard Artrell Hawkins talking about this yesterday and he was really ticked off by whatever it was Bruschi said and thought Chad was getting a raw deal in whatever the comments were by Bruschi.

We are discussing this now in the Week 1 Random Thoughts thread.

I agree with you. Bruschi completely overreacted. And Rodney Harrison, Kordell Stewart and Steve Young sided with Bruschi. They are all wrong.

Absolutely. He came from Cincy to NE 5-6 weeks ago. What can truly be expected from him in week 1? He should be fine in time but how Ochocinco gets blasted for complimenting Brady and his performance is beyond laughable. It's like Bruschi hates twitter and Ochocinco and he finally got a chance(in his eyes) to blast both of them. He needs to chill out. He is dead wrong and so are Rodney Harrison, Kordell Stewart and Steve Young for siding with Bruschi.

Older guys trying to find something to latch on too and begin discussing how things aren't what they used to be, players don't care enough like when we played and blah blah blah.

I don't see anything wrong with either player's comments, frankly. Ocho's tweet makes me think he's clearly pleased to be in the situation he's in, and maybe he's just kind of pinching himself. Bruschi's comments make me think that Ocho may not be immersing himself into his new culture, and Bruschi is goading him to quit being the "new guy" and become "one of them".

There are better ways for Bruschi to do this, more in line w/ "The Patriot Way" that they throw in everyone's face. He completely handled it wrong. However, that said, I see where he is coming from. 85's promotion of his "brand" is a distraction. I believe that Bruschi has been waiting for 85 to fire off a first football related tweet, or other social media message, and then bury him.

In Ocho's defense, I'd probably be similarly, legitimately awestruck if I were in his shoes. Think about it, he went from being a Bungal to a Patriot....no in between....that's like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Now, if he can only give into the temptation to catch the ball. :D

I agree. He went from a Kia to a Mercedes. Who wouldn't be excited?

However, I've heard through several media outlets that Chad's not exactly a book smart kind of guy. So on one hand I see where Bruschi's coming from, but on the other I think he over-reacted.

He may have over reacted but it is Bruschi's job to get people to tune in and with strong opinions like that he will get the job done.

If any player needed to hear that it is Chad, Chad is an idiot and if anything hearing those kind of comments may keep Chad from getting released because he might get his act together.

Amen Guru. He better get with the program. He needs to put his social media campaign on hold and focus on his playbook like Tedy said.

Which playbook is Brewski suggesting Chad study? His or the opponents. He had both when he played. :sssh:
