Did anyone see much of this one? Surprise no chat with UC going to an SEC opponent. Appears Cincy played well on O but the UT QB had a career day. Same issue for UC it appears... D against bigger opponents. Gotta keep hacking away.

DBs are still really bad, and no pass rush only makes it worse. Mix in a vanilla zone scheme and you have a trinity of problems on your hands. Not a good showing at all today...

Surprised by the turnout of this one. Not so much that the Vols won, but the way that they won, especially considering the season that the Vols had last year.

Unfortunately, living in TN I watched the entire game (while watching Bama-PSU and SC-UGA) and Bray and his WR did whatever they wanted whenever they wanted. UC goes for it in their territory twice on 4th down with what I thought was horrible play selections. I was so hoping for a UC win.

Yes. They are only one year removed from back to back conference titles. They have a potent offense. Kelly left the defensive cupboard bare, though. You don't fix that overnight. They'll be back.

Not right now, but I do believe that Butch Jones will do a good job there if they give him time. They have alot of holes right now.

Tennessee looks much improved to me. Bray could be the best QB in the SEC.

It's going to take work to get it back to what it was when Kelly was there. People were coming out to the games in Clifton in record numbers that had not been coming for a long time. In all likelihood, I don't see the numbers of people coming out to them getting that high again unless they get back to the way that they were, which is going to be very challenging to do.

So UC fans, here is a question. Will BJ leave for a premier job or get fired? What is the length of his contract? Charisma goes along way when you're the HC, does BJ have the "moxie" that BK had? How did BK have relative "overnight" success with the UC program? If I was a UC FB fan, I have concerns.

Granted, I wasn't happy with the way the defense played, BUT, the lack of conversion on short yardage left a hot dealing UT QB a short field to play on. Add that into a GREAT onside kick recovery an you have the difference in the game. UT is a good team...but UC made them look GREAT. Do the Dbacks LB's and DLine relate their schemes to each other? Sometimes I have to wonder......

BK had success "overnight" because Dantonio brought in defensive players that Kelly could work with. Once most of those guys were gone we were left with what Kelly brought in, guys that could outscore most opponents the d couldn't stop, as seen in the orange/sugar bowls. BJ is bringing in quality guys but it will take time. They'll compete in the big east this year and I think Butch will get some more defensive guys in clifton next year. I think he'll do fine, I just hope after some success he won't jump ship and head to ND after BK losses his job.
