Is it true that he wanted the Ryle position two years ago?

It was like 4 or 5 years ago.

You have a legend on the gridiron like that you find a teaching position for him. The lost of Yeagle could have an affect on student athletes going to other local high schools.

 You mean to tell me that kids growing up in Ft Mitchell would no longer want to go to the school in the district in which they live? No way they get kids from other areas to attend Beechwood for any specific reason other then they are noted as having pretty fair academics. ;):D

Eventually a good coach will come along and finally make something out of all the resources and possibilties there are at Scott. It has to start from the Bottom grade levels up, but my lord it makes you wonder how they can't win there.

I have the perfect solution. Coach Yeagle, take a couple of years and rest. Live life to the fullest. You could possibly travel a little, or maybe take up a new hobby. Then, once Harlan County High School is finished, come on down and take the new football program over. It would be a fresh start.

Beechwood may never be the same again.

For everyone assuming things......Mike Yeagle is a defensive coach...He would make a nice offesive guy but his coaching and playing playing experience is Defensive.

Beechwood may never be the same again.

You may be right but one thing about Beechwood is that they have the tradition to compete. What Coach Yeagle, and what we did as a team in the 90's is awesome. I look back on it now after being out 11 years. It is still amazing now as it was back then. The state of Ky might not ever see a Coach like Yeagle for for the domination he had. Hopefully Beechwood will get one great coach. I hope they have their pick of coaches to choose from. But to do what he did will be one hard act to follow.

I bet Holmes would consider making an opening for him.

Have they started constructing the gallows for the Beechwood principal?

Holmes is just fine with the man running the show in Covington, Coach Yeagle is a great coach, but Trosper is the man and I don't see that changing right now. I am sure that he was interested in being an assistant they would make room for him though!

He will be in NKY 4A next year as an offense coordinator. And anyone that knows me knows where it will be.

If what I understand is true, to be true, there could be lots of problems assoicated with him becoming the offensive coordinator:

1. What will happen when the head coach loses a few games to teams they should beat?

2. Will the natives become restless and call for a change?

3. Will other coaches start to look over their shoulder to him for direction instead of the head coach?

4. Will school adminstration look for a reason to make him the head coach, with all his background most kids would stay in the district instead of leaving for another school.

I am sure there are many more questions that we will talk about on here as the annoncement is made sometime in the very near future. On the record, I think the head coach at school X will get along with him on staff but I think there will be great pressure from outside the program to get him in the head job.

Great points. :thumb: As big of a benefit that he would be as a coordinator, he would also be a head coach's worst nightmare.

Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you saying kids will transfer back to their district or just stay in their district to begin with?

What he's saying is that the kids will probably not go there in the first place. Without Mike Yeagle the kids will go elsewhere. It's that plain and simple

Sounds sorta like the coaching staff for "Remember the Titans."
