You've been in SOME mood the last few days !! This good-natured (I assume) jabbing is a side of you I've not seen often. Did you win the Lottery, or something ?? (If so...we're buddies, right ?)
We are friends, but I'm still poor ...

Despite my surly reputation in some quarters, I'm a good-natured guy, albeit one with some strong opinions on a wide variety of issues. I love the back-and-forth nature of discussions between well-informed people, and sometimes even from the ones that aren't. ;)

If that causes sparks to fly on occasion, so be it. ;)

OIJ...I was thinking curmudgeon. :D

Exactly. Thank you for being a rare voice of reason.

How about this: St. X can put up a banner that says "Best Team - 2005", while Trinity will put up a banner that says "State Champions - 2005". Does that sound fair? I sure Trinity would be willing to make this compromise every year. :ylsuper:

At the risk of getting my head chopped off for exercising First Amendment rights and expressing an opinion that some might not agree with, I do believe that all in all, X was the best team in 4A. I am not downgrading T. X beat the 2 AAA finalists, as well as T earlier, and by a lot. No one is trying to take the trophy away, it was earned. Congratulations.

The point is that I suspect in1997 when X beat T 3-0 in the State that some T (Heaven Forbid) may have continued to think they were still the better team.

Does anyone really think that when Villanova and NC State won their NCAAs, that they were really the best teams in the country with their 8 or 10 losses, or whatever it was.

These are opinions, not facts, so cut some slack.

How about this. On September 23, x had the better team. On December 2, Trinity had the better team. All other dates are a matter of opinion. Fortunately for us, December 2 is the one they give a trophy for.

I can almost agree with that. I just wish we would have had a healthy Curley the whole game. If so, I don't think any of us would Had T lost Petrino, T would be doing the yelling. It was only a 1 TD game.

Should I feel insulted ?!?
Nope. Not at all ...

Gosh, I sure do wish Switzer hadn't been injured all season. And I wish I weighed 20 pounds less. And I wish I'd hit the Powerball. You play with the players you have. That's the way it works.

Am I reading all this correctly: Saint X and Trinity, two HIGH SCHOOLS, run advertisements in an attenpt to attract potential students in the greater Louisville area??? Really???? What's next? Since negative campaigning is the norm in politics, when will these two private schools start running ads taking pot shots at the other??? I'm sure it will eventually happen (it did in politics).

Thank you Mom! You guys are incredible. While there are posts and threads on here about the class demonstrated by the X and T players, you guys (from both schools) are an embarrassment to your respective schools. Your screennames represent your school...and you are not doing either of those fine institutions any justice. It seems like everytime someone posts something good about X...certain T posters start crying! and when someone posts something good about T...certain X posters start crying....Wipe away the tears and grow up. Right now the 16, 17, and 18 year old boys representing X and T are doing a much better job of sportsmanship than some of the grown adults on this forum. NEWS FLASH...They are both awesome schools!

Keep speaking the truth, preach on brother

Hey, now ...

I just call it like I see it! :D
