Apparently they don't offer classes in reading comprehension and logic over on Shelbyville road.

The academic slams have begun. Not even one week out.

Question for T faithfull

If Trinity has so many things going well over there, Why all the commercials to attract students???????

This is great. If you could only see the grin on my face. :D

If you listen to the largest radio channel in Lou 84WHAS Trinity is on there every hour and I have never heard an X add. Maybe we are on different times/channels but I doubt it. By the way do kids listen to 84? No, parents do. So why talk like the following???

Dude, Trinity is fun "nn" stuff..... what is that?

And the obsession continues...

How long before we hear about the entire athletic program and national merit winners? I know someone has it cued up.

I respond to clubber langs post because it is insulting to hear from fans of a team that you beat that your team is still better. Fine, you folks over at X keep telling yourself that you are the better team and celebrate that milestone with RINGS you wont receive and the HARDWOOD you will never raise above you heads.

You said it.

Alright guys...this is getting out of hand. Both of our schools are above this sniping, and we both have a lot to be proud of...academically, athletically, and any other way you can think. We shouldn't be sullying ourselves with this....Seriously....

You X & T fans crack me up.

You said it.

Momma always said I was clairvoyant.

Blame it on injuries, didn't the Rocks have multiple injuries the first game, come on. After the way the Rocks played in the Title I would with out a doubt take them in a rematch, and 7-8 out of 10, the team really progressed as the season went on! How any X person could joke on commercials after the ones I've seen from X the last year is hilarious. SWEET 16

That's not my argument, if you read it again. Of course any St. X fan would prefer the state title.

Several Trinity fans said it was ridiculous to argue that St. X was the stronger team despite the loss in the final, and I disputed that notion.

Sorry clubber, it just won't wash. There is no way I'll buy into the argument that more wins in a season is better than a state title. As far as injuries, they are part of the game. We had more than our share this season. That's why they play them on the field. In 1968, after Trinity won the state title, there was a teacher at Bellarmine, (x grad), that said on the following Monday, "Well, I guess you guys won the big one, or maybe all of them But the big one". Some things never change. He was wrong then, you are wrong now. The only claim I've seen made by the Trinity folks is that at the end of the season, Trinity had the best team in the state. You could try to make the argument that the best team in the state was the 1A, 2A or 3A champ, but the best team in 4A at the END of the season was decided on the field.
Who is making that argument? I bet the St. Xavier guys would take a couple of more losses right now for a ring.

That being said, it's an entirely plausible and defendable position to say that St. Xavier had the better team. Upsets happen ... even in the state finals.

Exactly. Thank you for being a rare voice of reason.

Thank you Mom! You guys are incredible. While there are posts and threads on here about the class demonstrated by the X and T players, you guys (from both schools) are an embarrassment to your respective schools. Your screennames represent your school...and you are not doing either of those fine institutions any justice. It seems like everytime someone posts something good about X...certain T posters start crying! and when someone posts something good about T...certain X posters start crying....Wipe away the tears and grow up. Right now the 16, 17, and 18 year old boys representing X and T are doing a much better job of sportsmanship than some of the grown adults on this forum. NEWS FLASH...They are both awesome schools!

You've been in SOME mood the last few days !! This good-natured (I assume) jabbing is a side of you I've not seen often. Did you win the Lottery, or something ?? (If so...we're buddies, right ?)

:sssh: :D
