Facebook problem

Featured Replies

This is annoying. When I log in on Chrome (my preferred browser) I get the "new and improved" chat. When I log in with IE (I really hate the new version BTW) I get the older and better chat.

It was the Facebook version of "New Coke" - major fail.

HA! I am AMAZED! They changed it back! :thumb:

Yes they did.

I was hating this.....Hopefully they are not just re tweeking it and planning to put it back on.

Is this on the chat part? I haven't noticed anything different.

That's because they already fixed it.

I never use the chat so I was looking at the page trying to figure out what was different. Where I never use the chat I guess I wouldn't notice it.

This just happened to my facebook account like 20 minutes ago. This is seriously the most annoying thing ever, I could very well leave facebook over this. Well this and all the vote for my kid gerber baby stuff that pops up on my wall everyday (Not what you want to see when you are still trying to adjust to the fact that you will never have kids of your own).

Just when I thought they had come to their senses and put it back the way it was...they switched back to the "New Coke" version. :irked:

I just noticed that as well, NOT HAPPY AT ALL! :irked:

I've used the FB Chat quite a bit over the last two years, especially when I was traveling. Very frustrating.

I very rarely if any go to the chat on fb. As a matter of fact I am getting more and more fed up with fb daily.

Just a note that some may already know......Do not click on any of the restaraunt coupon offers. I made that mistake and was loaded with spam e-mails daily, they have slowed some now but still am getting them. Also, a family member of mine was on one of their many games and a virus got in and completely shut down the pc, had to have it completely rebuilt. That is a huge reason why I block all game request/games and adds on fb, imo nothing on there can be trusted.

Good advice. Facebook has become increasingly dangerous. Hackers, spyware, adware, viruses, Trojan horses, etc… are all present on Facebook. In addition to downloading content from Facebook which is likely to be dangerous, another issue is your login itself. Because people use their email accounts to log into Facebook, hackers can then use brute force or other techniques to crack your password to both Facebook and your email. This has become very common and is used to hijack email accounts to send spam, viruses, and Denial of Service type attacks. The best defense is to have Strong passwords using upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters and do not use the same password for your email and Facebook. Facebook needs to do a better job in protecting its customers and blocking malware on their site instead of changing content that already works for people IMO.

For some odd reason it has changed back to the new, frustrating way again for me. :irked:
