July 16, 201115 yr Well, just as I complained a few days ago about Facebook changing stuff around, here they go and change the friends list! Now when you sign in they have a popup where your friends list is, they CLAIM that your settings have not changed! Yeah RIGHT! It shows 19 friends, all but 3 are online and not idle. But when I reduce the screen size I get that old thing at the bottom that tells you the total friends online both availible and idle, which is says is 83! So, my question is, if anyone has figured it out yet, how in the world do I see the other 60+ friends who are online availible to chat or idle? Why claim the settings have changed when they clearly have changed?
July 16, 201115 yr Author Google+ is looking better every day! I'll have to sit down soon and look at how they are set up. What idiot at FB thought that it was a good idea to only show the top people you chat with in a friends lists? There is a reason no one else has ever done it, it's a horrible idea! Fixing/changing things that don't need fixing/changing, it's all about their control, they don't seem to care as they are making money no matter what we think!
July 16, 201115 yr Author I'm having the same problem and I hate it.I can imagine your problem, contacts, recruits ect you only see every once in a while, now you don't see them at all! I have over 500 Euro basketball players on my lists, I can't keep up with all of them if I don't see them when they are FB, I guess you are the same with your contacts.
July 16, 201115 yr I've been complaining about it on Facebook all day. Even joined a group dedicated to getting rid of this new height in stupidity. :taz: It's supposed to show you the people you chat with most often. What it actually shows is a list of 19 (why 19?) names chosen totally, it seems, at random. And you used to be able to group the names and then arrange the groups on the list -- not so anymore. Google+ is starting to sound really attractive all of a sudden. :irked:
July 16, 201115 yr Facebook is doing the same thing that got people to leave Myspace. Why fix something when it is not broke?
July 17, 201115 yr Author Where do I complain? This is causing me all kinds of issues...There are 100's of topic threads, there were a lot more but FB decided to lock threads I was in just a few hours ago. This is the worse thing/idea I have ever seen on an online service! But here is a temp fix: https://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php Sad thing is, I attempted to put that link on my page several times, and if keeps disappearing! As BirdFan said, it's not the people you chat with the most, it's random! So now they want to control who you chat with! Edited July 17, 201115 yr by SportsGuy41017

If this popout exists, they should be able to offer you the option of using the old way or the new stupid way.
July 17, 201115 yr I don't know 1 person that likes it. My guess is they are feeling the heat that google+ might be bringing and trying to get ahead of the game. Instead it is a MAJOR backfire!
