Track the NL Central Champion Reds - 2nd Half (Week 1)

Featured Replies

I'm interested in seeing who the Reds roll out there tonight. Particularly the OF

I'm sure the "toothpick" had a great vision out in Montana and will come up with some "hot" lineups this weekend. It's just a shame that he didn't get lost out in the mountains for a few weeks so that maybe this team could get started on the right foot.

I want to see Hernandez get the majority of at bats for the catcher. Just use Hanigan when Hernandez needs a rest.

Why Heisey in the leadoff slot against righties and Lewis seventh?

I'm gonna guess that we'll see more Hernandez than Hanigan leading up to the deadline. Ramon is a guy that SF has their eye on.

Good question. Other than that I like that lineup.

I've heard this about a dozen different times but I've yet to hear who the Reds would potentially be receiving in return.

It is kind of interesting that Stubbs is out of the lineup after the break....Stubbs 0-4 against Westbrook, Heisey 1-3 with a HR....I guess that's why, but it's not much of a sample.

It won't happen. Dusty won't change the way he uses the catchers.

I guess in the past Lewis has hit Westbrook better.

I look at that lineup and say "How are the Reds just 4 games out?". Seriously, take an honest look at that lineup.

Heisey 8 - .254 hitting rookie

Cozart 6 - fresh off the farm, please do not expect more than he can deliver

Votto 3 - MVP

Phillips 4 - This is our cleanup hitter. I like Phillips a lot and he probably should be the cleanup hitter ... which makes my point about the lineup.

Bruce 9 - Is he on or off for the next two weeks?

Rolen 5 - Trying to fade away gracefully. He does still play a mean 3B though. I love to watch him throw ... cannon.

Lewis 7 - Another scrap heap player.

Hernandez 2 - Maybe he should be hitting cleanup? He has been clutch this year.

And this team leads the league in runs. Dusty is a genius!

Why Heisey in the leadoff slot against righties and Lewis seventh?

Heisey is faster and I guess Dusty figures he can steal a base. Oh but wait, Dusty won't let them run will he?

I disagree....I think Lewis is every bit as quick as Heisey.
