I'm not a Dusty supporter by any means (also not a Dusty basher as most here are).

But honestly, you all are just looking for reasons to complain. Chapman has been lights out since coming back up from the minors.

Masset is their best reliver and has an ERA of 3.06. Chapman went to the minors because he couldn't throw strikes. He has an ERA of 5.40. In the 8th inning of a 1 run game after Chapman walked the leadoff hitter who would you rather face Pujols?

It was a bad decision to start Chapman that inning. It was idiotic for him to face Pujols after walking a guy. Predictably he falls behind in the count and Pujols hit a fastball a mile. How is that not on Dusty?

It's at least 3. 1 person boycotted this one to focuss on the Dusty is an idiot one.

So you don't think Masset should have been used either?

But he is "NOT" the setup man and "NOT" the lefty specialist.

Count me as one.

How is it not on Chapman? Good God...

Sorry 2. :D Dusty can't be blamed for everything. At some point your guys have to preform.

Masset has only allowed a run to score in 2 of his last 21 appearances. Chapman has been good since returning but his issue is control. If it was the 7th inning I could see using Chapman. After the walk I can't see using him for anything. He even lef him in to walk a guy after the bomb.

It is fully on Chapman but how can you sit there and defend the decision to use him as both the lefty specialist and the setup man against the heart of the Cards order when the Reds clearly need to make a statement against the Cards? It is not the time to show confidence in a pitcher in a role that he is clearly not comfortable with yet.

It is on Chapman too, but he shouldn't have been in. What is Masset doing not being used in two straight huge games with a 1 run lead in the 8th?

It isn't Dusty's fault either that they didn't blow the game open with their many chances.

Chapman has walked only 2 batters since being recalled prior to tonight. He has been dominant since his return.

He had been lights out but I don't believe that he has been used in this type situation yet. Why tonight?
