July 27, 201115 yr I never said I want the Reds to fail. I just want Dusty gone. One has to happen for the other to occur. Plain and simple you want the Reds to fail so he will be fired. Can't have one without the other...
July 27, 201115 yr Author And you know the only way that will happen is if they have a horrible season or two. Root for the Cardinals. One has to happen for the other to occur. Plain and simple you want the Reds to fail so he will be fired. Can't have one without the other... Ask Ned Yost if he believes that.
July 27, 201115 yr Ask Ned Yost if he believes that. When did Yost lead the Brewers to the playoffs? He did oversee a collapse in 06 in the division and 07 in the wild card. His teams were WILDLY inconsistent and choked down the stretch twice. Nice try. Next...

July 27, 201115 yr LRCW, maybe you need to remove the Defending NL Central Champion from the track the Reds threads...could change their luck. Or you could have a Red Sox fan start the next one...
July 27, 201115 yr Author LRCW, maybe you need to remove the Defending NL Central Champion from the track the Reds threads...could change their luck. Or you could have a Red Sox fan start the next one... Have at it. You can start it by calling it "Track the can't win more than 2 in a row Reds".
July 27, 201115 yr Author That happens so often.... Good luck to your Cards. And there's no reason it can't happen with Dusty. You think Bob C is happy with the way this season has gone. You're the LaRussa lover. You love all managers. None of them ever do anything wrong, and they really have little or no effect on whether their team wins or loses.

Grady Little was fired by the Red Sox after going 93-69 and then 95-67. The Dodgers let him go after going 88-74 and 82-80. He's never had a losing season and been fired from both of his jobs. Why? He sucked handling pitching staffs.

They had just blown a 4 game lead in the wild card putting them in position for the 2nd collapse in a row. Yost was in over his head and the Brewers had lost 11 of their last 14 when he was fired. What you are saying is you want the Reds to race out to a huge record and then fall flat so Dusty is fired? Try again. Next...

None of them ever do anything wrong, and they really have little or no effect on whether their team wins or loses. Incorrect again. When a team is underachieving like this one you have to be realistic. Calls that have worked in the past haven't this year so it becomes magnified, which is due to lack of production from the players. Of course, in a 2 run loss you complain about the tying run reaching base with 1 out and not the lack of ability to get guys out by the bullpen.

He wasn't the guy to get them to the playoffs last year until it happened, right? Wasn't the guy to get the Giants to the World Series? The Cubs to the NLCS? The Reds are a "huge disappointment" this year because the PLAYERS haven't delivered like they did a year ago. Easy to pin that on the manager and second guess every move or decision. Doesn't show much baseball acumen, but it is easy. So you have that going for you...
