Chris Lee sent a shirtless picture of himself and was apparently soliciting sex with transsexuals. I recall it bringing a chuckle for many as he was a "family values" conservative and it was entirely legal. I don't recall his "scandal" dominating every news outlet, shrieks for his resignation, or his press conferences broadcast live on every cable news channel. This is your double standard?

I think both of the situations are similar enough: Married Congressmen soliciting sex over the internet with suggestive pictures of themselves. One guy was shirtless, the other guy was in his underwear. I'm not puritanical enough to care about either one of them, but it seems the controversy in both cases was in the behavior, not necessarily the existence of the image.
June 7, 201115 yr I don't recall all the details of the first case. But...did Weiner actually send the pics in an attempt to solicit sex? I read he had a "Facebook affair" with someone, but stopped short of sending a picture. I believe the woman said he got cold feet. Does sending a picture of your junk automatically mean you're soliciting sex? Frankly (get it...weiner, frank...never mind...I'm digressing again), have you seen some of the pics people post on facebook and such? Girls with barely-there bikinis, men with barely-there speedos....yes, he definitely went further. But does that in and of itself equate to soliciting sex? Maybe I've just missed that part.
