June 7, 201115 yr He initially said his email was hacked. These people are so dumb. They either don't understand the technology or just pain believe the American people are too dumb to figure it out. I'd much prefer a person has the sack to admit they're dumb and made a mistake. Every time someone says their account wa hacked it makes them look terribly worse
June 7, 201115 yr I wouldn't put it to the test. :lol: :lol: I don't plan on it. Just knowing a couple people at our company have had DUI's in the past and maintained their jobs leads me to believe it wouldn't be a big issue. That and the fact that I have like 5-10 followers.

June 8, 201115 yr What do you think your employer would do to you if you did the same thing? I'm thinking you may be looking for a new job. I may be wrong but I don't think an employer has the right to fire an employee for something like this unless it is two employees engaging in this behavior. I am sure some employers have tried to fire employees for things like that but wouldn't that be considered a violation of someone's privacy? I know plenty of people who have had affairs but they didn't even get called to the HR office let alone fired. Unless their job performance is affected they will likely just be fodder for officeplace/workplace/water cooler gossip. Edited June 8, 201115 yr by PurplePride92
June 8, 201115 yr I do think Weiner is a doofus but I have changed my stance a little. Just because he is a pervert doesn't mean he should be forced to resign. If he resigns I think that would be an honorable thing to do but if he decides to stay I wouldn't be mad at him. I didn't want Clinton to leave office, Newt Gingrich is still proving that one can have a crazy personal life and still be a good politician, Ted Kennedy, Marion Barry....those are just a few politicians who managed to bounce back from scandals worse than this. I get it, he lied, thinks he is smarter than the public by trying to lie as well, but by all accounts he seemed to have been a good politician. This is part of what America so great. He will likely run again for something at one point and the people will decide how they feel about him when it is election time for him. Seems fair enough to me.
June 8, 201115 yr I think I've overcome my giggles: Here's a challenge for me. It has to do with equality of the application of standards. A 16 year old kind who sends such a pic can be convicted in some states of "sexting" which requires them to register as a sex offender. A random tweeter/facebooker may not know the age of the recipient of their photos, yet if sent to a minor, would be charged with child pornography, and if convicted, would be required to register as a sex offender. I think this should be more serious than just a "mistake in judgement", if there's any sense of "fairness" left in this world.
