For the record, while I disagree with the thought that the President having a beer sends a bad message, I do not have a problem with those that do. It's an opinion that has no right or wrong answer unlike if we are arguing over law. We simply disagree with each other.

I hope he does have the same convictions as I , but to keep doing the same thing then it must not bother him, so he has no conviction or he would quit.

 

I just think it sets a bad example for our country to show our President drinking at so called sit downs and in other countries. Many will label him a drunk. And no I do not think he is a drunk.

 

So who has labeled him a drunk? You initially brought up the president being publicly intoxicated and you seem to be the only person bothered by it.

As a beer drinker I like seeing my president have a beer or two. I'd love to have a beer with the younger Bush.

That doesn't change my point that we can disagree based on our religious beliefs. I disagree with Mt Ref on this but I do not think less of him for believing this. It's no different than me saying I disagree with a former neighbor who thinks dancing is bad. We just disagree. He's still a good person.
