Be interesting to see how Jon Stewart continues to handle this as I believe Rep. Weiner is his former college roommate and has been on the show numerous times.

Everything I've read always mentions his party. I haven't followed it on tv though.

I am not sure if you are saying he is immediately out or not if he has an affair.

 

Not immediately out, but surely not get re-elected or put up by his party. If he isnt faithful to his wife, how could he be truthful to the voters he represents.

It is OK if the President has a beer. Why wouldnt it be?

 

I wont be a hypocrite, I have drank before and I do go to church. I would not feel good with sitting down with my preacher and drinking a beer or would I feel good knowing my preacher is watching me drink a beer on TV.

Just a short 2 minute piece on it last night that ended by him saying "We'll follow up with this story later". I applaud him for tackling it, though.

So the President isn't doing anything illegal so that's not your issue. Are you saying that the effect will be kids drinking immediately because the POTUS had a Bud Light? Or are you saying somewhere down the road when they're 21 they may have a beer because the POTUS did?

What's wrong with the President having a beer?

 

Why would you not feel good having a beer with your preacher? There is nothing wrong with having a beer. :confused:

I don't get the "setting a bad example for kids" thinking for something that is completely legal.

 

Our fear seems to be that the person we are talking about has so much influence over the kids that whatever they do as an adult will seem OK for the kids to do as kids.

 

Should we not show the POTUS' children since we all know what act led to the creation of those children for fear that kids will start having sex?

He is an ADULT doing something that is legal!

How dumb does he believe the American people to be? First off he knows if it's him or not. Secondly if it is him he was trying to DM the girl the picture. This isn't rocket science.

Why would I not want to have a beer with my preacher, do you really want me to answer that?

 

The President should be setting a good example tyo follow and drinking/smoking isnt one of them.
