Track the NBA Finals - Mavs vs. Heat

Would Howard be okay with going there? He should be, but he hasn't mentioned them. If I'm him they would be my #1 team on my wish list.

Howard wants to be in movies and acting. I don't really think OKC is the best place for that. Now if it is winning that he is looking for maybe. I don't think he has any say in where he gets traded anyhow.

I'm going to cut him a "little" slack on his comments. Essentially you have a man being challenged. In addition, he's saying them being happy that he lost doesn't change his life nor theirs.

Probably too much being made of this.

The whole hate-LBJ thing is too much for me. It speaks to the bad side of being a fan.

I'll go out on a limb and take the Heat to win it all in 2012.
That limb is about as thick as you can get. They should be the odds on favorite the next 5 years.

Outside of a Red's World Series, UK Basketball championship, Bengals Superbowl win, or Lakers title, this is the next best thing. There's not many wins that excite me as much as a Lebron loss.

Shaq got a movie or two in Orlando. Howard is no where near a big enough celebrity to become a movie star and he wouldn't be in LA either. It is too hard to be marketable as a big guy in the NBA. When are people going to start calling him out for being a fake Shaq? Superman, LA, movies..... He's going to be a movie star? Is he even one of the best 10 centers to ever play the game or does he just play in an era of pathetic post players?

I think he's getting there. He's still really young for an elite big man. His game has been steadily improving every year for the past 3-4 years now.

Howard has a goofiness about him that I sometimes believe sets back his game and his entire team. He has all the physical tools to be a beast though.

It seems like it's not that important to him honestly. He could he more dominate than he is.

I just don't see him ever being more than a Patrick Ewing which is nothing to scoff at. I don't think he has the skills or ability to get to a Shaq, Moses Malone or Kareem level. If he played in the 90s I think he would be the 4th or 5th best Center going behind Shaq, Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, and even a young Mourning.

Next season could be interesting. If Oklahoma City lands a big free agent name such as Howard as someone mentioned before or someone else similar, I could see them as serious title contenders. I'm very interested to see what ends up happening with Bosh; if the Heat keeps him I'll be surprised. Regardless, the Heat should be in title contention next season. I'm also interested in seeing what ends up happening with the veterans from the Mavericks after winning a title, which should be known in the near future. I don't believe that what happened to the Lakers was a fluke and that things may even get worst in Los Angeles for a while. The last team that I'll talk about is the Bulls; I believe that the only thing they will do is get better. Chicago has to be happy with the youth of its team and I would rate them as title contenders for next season too.

You guys seeing Bosh getting shipped out? I know it has been mentioned some online. I think it would be crazy to do that at this point. Though the Heat really, really, really helped out the Mavs, they were playing with House Money this year IMO. They really only have 6 guys who should be major contributors on a good team. Lets see who they add this offseason and then see who they have.

I'd he shocked to see Howard go anywhere. I just don't see it. Things could change but I don't see it. If he does leave I don't see why it wouldn't be LA though. I have never heard anyone mention that they want to play in Oklahoma. Am I missing something?

Howard is going to end up in LA at some point. It might not be via trade next year but I am guessing he will be there when he is a FA.

None of the big 3 are going anywhere. That is silly talk. I do not look at it as "house money" they were playing with. It did not become any semblance of that until their slow start. Once they got by the Celtics and the Lakers lost, it was win or bust. I think the "big decision" they need to make is if they want to make James the primary PG or more of a post player. For a good portion of the season and through the finals they had some horrendous stretches on offense.
Agreed. You don't need a stud PG in the NBA to win. You need wings and bigs.

That's why Miami should package D-Wade and Bosh to Orlando for Dwight Howard. That would give them the league's best player, Lebron, who happens to be a wing player, and the league's most dominant big, both in their primes. Then they could put the puzzle together around them and dominate.

JMO

But, I agree with bugatti, I don't see Miami making a move like that.
