Track the NBA Finals - Mavs vs. Heat

Featured Replies

If I counted right, LBJ had 7 pts (3-5 FG), 1 rebound and 1 turnover in the 4th quarter. The guy is sorely lacking in the heart department. I guess this will settle that whole "MJ v. LBJ" argument, hopefully once and for all.

You know, I can't help but think Miami got what they deserved.

- The Free Agency stuff & Decision.

- The Welcome party.

- The handful of games in a row where they looked unbeatable, followed by a cocaine-addict like relapse into crappy basketball.

- "Choke-gate" before game 5.

Its kind of ironic that a team like Dallas was the team to take them out. Cuban spends more money than anyone outside of the Yankees or Red Sox in pro sports, but he and Dirk have built this team. They have had some successes and also some terrible heartache. Miami almost got the rings without any of the work and heartache that most other teams put in.

He's lacking again in class. Just like when he lost to the Magic he once again failed to congratulate his opponent and shake their hands like a man.

Can't really help but to be happy for Dirk. He deserves this one about as much as any player that has ever won one IMO.

While I'm not a Lebron James fan I will say that most of the criticism that has been laid upon him has been unwarranted this season and during the playoffs and especially in the Finals.

1. Yes he has barely scored any points during the 4th quarter but you have to also realize that Bosh and Wade have taken the majority of the shots in the 4th.

2. James has brought the ball up the court a lot and if he were to try and take over he'd be labeled as selfish for not giving the ball to a proven winner like Wade.

3. He can't pass the ball to himself and lately with the turnovers and Wade & Bosh shooting of course it's going to be difficult for him to get in a rythym late in a game and instead of hurting the team by taking bad shots, he passes it off to Wade.

4. This series loss will be directed at Lebron but in no way is it all his fault. He didn't collapse in Game 2 and Game 4. He didn't turn over the ball and make bad decisions late in Game 6. He didn't do his part but to have this labeled solely on him will be idiotic.

Lebron's problem wasn't that he passed to Wade. It was that he immediately swung he ball to Chalmers and when Wade was creating he hid in the corner. He was awful this series for his talent level. When you're the best player and you shy away from big moments it's your fault.

For as much hype as he gets Lebron came up small. Sure he had a triple double but the guy should be able to do whatever he wants with his combination of size and athleticism. If I were him I'd be working my rear off learning how to play in the post. He should be able to post up any player in the league and succeed.

You post is so wrong in so many ways SVfan I don't know where to start. :D

haha somewhere Dan Gilbert is smiling... Yet his team finished DEAD last in the Eastern Conference...

For the series, Mavs outscore Heat by 36 with LeBron on the floor. Heat outscore Mavs by 22 with LeBron on the bench. Just sayin...

He was one of the first to tweet about this game when it was done. He gave congrats to the Mavs and said there are no shortcuts.

How pathetic are fans in Miami? There were 4-5 thousand Mavs fans there tonight.

It has been that way all season. Of course LBJ playing awful this series contributed to that. But he is the player that they often leave with the worst combos. For instance tonight he played in a stretch with Miller, Haslem, Howard and Eddie House.

Maybe so, maybe I'm under analyzing everything but I didn't see as many flaws with his game that apparently others seen.

Yes he failed to come up big but he's a second option on the team, especially in the late games. He failed this year but I think the Heat had to go through this in order to build as a team.

That had a bottom feeder bench and it should be better next season,

Very happy for Dirk, Kidd, Chandler, Marion. Cuban has taken a back seat and let his team do all the talking for once. Very classy move he made with the championship trophy as well.

Anyone think that James was just exhausted?

Heard during Game 5 that he is averaging something like 42 or 43 minutes a game this season. Add in these long playoffs against a physical Boston, Chicago, and Dallas team then you may have something.

Not saying it's an excuse but it is something to note. PS: Yes I know other players average that as well...haha
